  1. It's not CCs fault that Christian Yelich can't hit. It IS CCs fault that Luke Maile has had more ABs than both Tyrone Taylor and Jace Peterson in the playoffs. Did Pina get hurt?
  2. But it was a patella fracture. The patella affects the ability to bend and straighten the knee it has nothing to do with rotation. If he can run alright, it means his knee is good to go. Yelich's issue is between the ears.
  3. I seriously doubt we win even if Peralta stays in there. Just a gut feeling.
  4. It's a very positive sign that they're targeting guys like that. If that is the type of hitter they are going after, they'll eventually grab one or two. If Stearns has proven anything, it's that he isn't afraid of upsetting the apple cart, even with a team that is good on paper. We must admit we hoped Escobar would have been that bat that would drive in runs and that didn't happen either. Perhaps a change in the hitting coach is in order? I can understand a couple of players struggling but an entire lineup??
  5. You don't say You think this is funny?? You guys fully support the way they construct their offense, and yet continually complain about how bad it is. You do not get to have it both ways. If you're fine with the way they do things, then quit complaining. When you shop at Walmart for bats, you get Walmart quality, what the hell do you expect?? Hope is NOT a strategy, yet it's how the Brewers do things.."hope" that Yelich and Hiura turn it around...Instead of hedging on that and building your offense so that IF they still struggle you have enough quality bats to overcome it. It's not rocket science. I get what you are saying but who could have predicted these 2 players would be so atrocious and couldn't turn it around? Hindsight is 20/20 here.
  6. Yelich went 1-3 with a BB on Sunday. The team had 6 hits total. He wasn't the problem. There's no way around the reality that Yelich is a major problem on this team as constructed and as it looks now, will continue to be one. We have a bad slap singles hitter making 30 million a year. If he had regressed to Marlins level, we'd probably be OK and at least a semi-watchable offense. Yelich isn't the sole offensive issue with this club.
  7. No. The absolute inability to score runs will be the reason why this series is over for all intents and purposes.
  8. They had second and third with nobody out when they've been scoring nothing and they came up completely empty. There is no silver lining. They could just as easily go down 1-2-3 next inning. We've stunk at scoring runs with runners at 3rd and less than 2 outs all damn season long. Why should things change in postseason when the pitching is great every night?
  9. If he has a back issue then he shouldn't be out there. Period. We have enough problems getting hits as it is. Poor Yelich is hitting almost as bad as a pitcher.
  10. Man, did the Dodgers blast the Giants tonight! I can just imagine what their message boards are like right about now...
