    It's the Michael Reed show today. 9th inning and tied if you wanted to listen in. Trailing 2-1 going into the top of the 9th, the 'Tees erupt for 4 runs. Reed evened the game on a double and scored the lead run on a single by Victor Roache. Hobbs Johnson was pretty good other than 2 gopher balls. Threshers made it interesting in the bottom of the 9th but in came Jon Huizinga for his first save since 2003. 'Tees win.

    Justin Rocke mentioned your DSL post above during the 'Tees game Mass. Unfortunately, Tyler Wagner with probably his worst game of the year just like Taylor Williams yesterday. Where's Space Coast when you need it? I doubt all these fly balls would have been out there.

    Wang, Wei-Chung has been promoted to Brevard County, will start Wednesday's game. Heard on the Manatees' pregame show.

    'Tees have come back from the 6-0 deficit to tie the game. They did have quite a bit of help from Clearwater though. This is a wild one folks. 'Tees win. Orlando Arcia does it again against Clearwater. You'd think they'd have learned by now. This is also the team he was suspended for in that beaning incident earlier this year.

    Taylor Williams taking a terrible beating in the 1st inning. This team is in deep trouble.

    Can't wait for this walkoff audio, hopefully video, too -- had to be running on a 3-2 count, right? *** It was actually an 0-2 count. Since the odds were against Tyrone at that point, the Tees elected to try the double steal to get the tying run in which resulted in the winning hit. The 2nd baseman had it in his glove but it came out when he hit the ground and rolled away. Amazing combination of plays, all of which were necessary for the final result.

    Manatees being no hit through 7. Jinx. Single by Alfredo Rodriguez breaks up the no hitter. Walkoff bloop by Tyrone Taylor wins the game. Maybe Hobbs Johnson's best game of the year.

    You have Brennan and Denson who should be playing every day. I don't really see the need for a 3rd guy. Neda has been playing some first base and Coulter doing much of the DH work. There really aren't enough at bats. That's why I thought DeMuth should have been held back at Helena in the first place. He was struggling for regular at bats and Matos will get the same treatment. Yeah, DeMuth was overmatching the Pioneer league but if there isn't space there isn't space.

    Woo hoo. Grand Slam by Alfredo Rodriguez. I thought sure it will be knocked down by the wind but no. 6-0. Tyler Wagner should be able to hold that lead. The interesting thing is that they worked very carefully to Victor Roache with the bases loaded, eventually walking in a run. Then the unexpected slam. Heh.

    With Tyler Cravy now about to return, it almost seems mandatory for him to be included. There wouldn't be a lot of point to bring him back just for what's left of the season otherwise. He's only thrown 76 innings although he only had 79 last year and 90 as his high. So he hasn't been a big innings guy up to this point.

    Interesting. Game 1 Kyle Schwarber at catcher. Game 2 Kyle Schwarber in LF. Are the Rattlers paying attention? Coulter?

    Nicol Valderrey hit 2 home runs for the DSL Brewers. Still very young but hasn't done a whole lot else this year.

    Victor Roache launched one into the Halifax River to turn a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead. That seemed to discombobulate Paniagua and he gave up 3 more runs in the inning. Tyler Wagner with a decent outing through 5. Tees win. Wagner slightly off (100 pitches in 6 innings) but effective enough. Beat the Cubs! Now for game two. (est 8:15 eastern).

    You may have forgot about Edgardo Rivera: Perfect Game (Courtesy of and with permission from Patrick Ebert and the folks at PerfectGame.org): Rivera was a virtual unknown, even among Puerto Rican scouts, at the beginning of the spring season, and there have even been whispers that one big-league team may have been hiding him out with the goal of slipping him through to the draft sight unseen at major scouting events. That won’t happen now as word of Rivera’s blinding speed leaked out and he was included among other elite Puerto Rican prospects in the Excellence Games in early May. Rivera ran the 60 in a lightning-fast 6.3 seconds at that event and comparisons were immediately made to another former Puerto Rican speedster, Reymond Fuentes, a 2009 first-round pick of the Boston Red Sox. The attending Major League Scouting Bureau immediately slapped an OFP grade of 56 (on a scale of 20 to 80) on Rivera, the second-highest ranking of any player in the 2012 Puerto Rican draft class behind star shortstop Carlos Correa (58). While Rivera’s skills are raw and his resume too short to be drafted where that grade might normally imply, Rivera generated enough interest to have a strong chance of going inside the first five rounds.

    Manatees with 2 complete game shutouts by Hobbs Johnson and Damien Magnifico. With all the doubleheaders coming up that's a real bullpen saver.

    Manatees will be a late start at best. Tarp on the field as the game is supposed to start. On the pregame, Parker Berberet reports that Damien Magnifico got a golf ball stuck in a tree during the Jorge Lopez benefit. Supposedly, there is something on twitter. Maybe one of the link reporters will come across that. By the way, Parker is really having a nice second half, BA up to .295 and OBP to .367 despite the fact that he doesn't get regular work.

    Brevard back under way. The Yankees are changing pitchers after an hour delay. We'll see if Taylor Williams continues when the Tees go in the field. Taylor Williams will not be back in this game. Rough on the staff since this is a double header. Hopefully, Peterson can go 4 innings or so.

    I agree with you Crew. They need to start Coulter in at other positions. Maybe they will just wait until next year so they can work with him without the pressure of games at the new position? Not sure why they promoted DeMuth. I agree that he was too good for Helena but this is holding players up. Someone has to sit every game or be the DH or play out of position. Hope Taylor Williams doesn't think he will get this type of support every game. Tees up 6 with quite a bit of help from their friends on the Yankees. Also 6 up 6 down for Taylor Williams so far. It's all systems go, at least for now. I jinxed them. Now going to rain delay in the top of the 3rd. Hopefully short so Williams can continue.

    Heard on the radio today that Mark Attanasio is under consideration for commissioner. I wish him the best but I hope for the sake of the Brewers that this does not happen.
