    6 run second for the 'Tees. They are trying to hold on to the lead late. Our old friend Efrain Nieves is in for the Blue Jays. Looks like they are trying to develop him as a sidearming loogy. Having a pretty good game versus the 'Tees. Yadiel Rivera with 3 hits so far. Edit. Williams closes them out and the 'Tees take the road series from the 1st half champs.

    Sharkey's it for 1B at both rookie teams? Norton and DeMuth have already played there. I guess they do have Denson so maybe there isn't a big need for more natural 1B. It will be interesting to see what Max Walla can do on the mound. I wish him well.

    Unfortunately, a bad start for Jorge Lopez. @40 pitches in the 1st inning. Reed is playing CF today.

    I wonder if Tucker Neuhaus is feeling some pressure due to having DeMuth on the same team? He has talent hopefully he can relax and enjoy his time with Helena.

    Per the Brewers' web site, Hiram Burgos will have season ending shoulder surgery. Tough break. His window of opportunity may be closing fast with all the other prospects the Brewers have now.

    Well, you should probably throw out ERA in Brevard County anyway. What has improved over the last three years is his K/BB ratio. This has gone from 1.67 to 1.92 to 2.67 this year. He is striking out hitters at about the same rate all three years so the improvement is almost all due to reducing his walk rate. That's progress in my book and I'm pleased with his year so far.

    MiLB is now showing a 30 man roster for Helena which includes no 1B or 2B. This may be a strange roster. I am looking forward to seeing if Edgardo Rivera can do anything at this level after last year's disappointing year filled with injuries.

    Costa Rica destroys Uruguay in the 2nd half. Now for the North American trifecta on Monday?

    No one's following World Cup? Huge loss for Spain. Not totally unexpected but the manner of defeat was shocking for a team of that caliber. Diego Costa couldn't have had a worse start.

    'Tees dropped the 1st game 3-0. 2nd rained out. It must really be frustrating hitting in that park. Ross was wild early which cost him dearly.

    Paul, I agree that DeMuth needs to play and 3B is his position. But there is Green at AAA, the Rogers experiment at AA, Delmonico a High A, Brennan at A ahead of him. Those guys won't be moved up for the most part barring injury. Brennan has played some 1B but I like him at 3rd. Finally, they got a guy who is a natural 3B in Brennan. He may not ultimately be a major leaguer but he has shown some flashes here. Enough to get more of a look I think. I guess this is a good problem to have. Neuhaus was told last year, as I recall, that they wanted him at 3B. Don't really see the point of much exposure at SS if they don't see him playing there long term. I don't mind him getting some play there though.

    Looks like a logjam at third base. Both Neuhaus and DeMuth as well as a couple of other guys. Interesting to see what Tony Diggs does with this.

    I would like to see Yadiel Rivera and Cameron Garfield promoted. They have suffered enough.

    Huge 2 run triple for Johnny Davis tied it. I missed it in real time so I need to listen to the post game. 6 straight for the Rattlers to get back to .500 on the season.

    Curtis Curtis? U. Of Pittsburgh calls him "Luke". Yeah, I assumed Schwarz was a flyer who probably will not sign. His father played in MLB for 2 years apparently.

    The Rattlers do have the all-star 3B in Brennan right now. I don't see him being promoted. Therefore DeMuth should start in Helena.

    I checked to see if Harrison had ever faced Devin Williams but I don't think he did. They are from opposite ends of Missouri.

    I would throw out 2009 as Bruce did not have a whole season to prepare. It is really unfair to blame him for that. Every team has players they could have drafted and didn't who turned out to be better than the guy they got. The Jungmann, Bradley draft, I'm sure he got orders from above to go with college arms to quickly replace guys in the Majors. Didn't work out but that's not entirely Seid's fault if those were his orders.

    Both of the mock drafts on MLB have the Brewers taking Max Pentecost. If that's the case, I would probably support moving Coulter. It is a temptation to have his bat in a defensive position though. Also, who knows, we may have the DH by the time Coulter is up to the Brewers. They could try him out at another position instead of DHing like he does so often. Right field should not be too stressful. If they plan to keep Coulter at catcher, he will need additional support. For the importance of this to the Brewers, I would really like them to get him additional support. Maybe have Charlie Greene there more often?
