    I would still think it's Evelands right now. But he's going to have to pick it up. I think he's in the doghouse right now because of the shape he came to camp in... Any way to listed to Saturday or Sunday's game? MLB. Gameday audio is already switched to today's date and I can't go back.

    Give me a break bjames. I know you're a big stat guy so I'm not going to change your mind. I'm not trying to. Instead of crunching small sample numbers and computing situational at bats that make the score of the game at the time meaningless, just watch the games. Branyan has been no better than anyone else on this team at knocking in big runs.

    I'll echo this. I admit when he hit two bombs at the opener I was pretty pumped but he is a human windmill. People can talk OPS, SLG, 3TO, or C3PO and R2D2 for all I care. All I know is when teams need to get him out, they get him out. I'll take Billy Hall at 3rd next year over Fanyan. I wouldn't even mind a Joe Randa and leave Billy as the super sub.

    I'd have to agree there. I realize his aggressiveness has maybe won a game or two but you can't try and squeak out one more run with the meat coming up with a couple guys on, in the 3rd inning.

    Unfortunately, I was there. Had great seats behind the plate (which were also free) so I thought it was going to be a good game. It sucked the way they scored and it sucked the way we couldn't score. These last two games remind me way too much of last year's second half. I just hate the way we're wasting good pitching performances by guys we don't really expect it from. Obviously he pitched great tonight but I really had a bad feeling when he went 2-0 to the pitcher. I didn't expect a laser to the seats but I knew he could sit fastball and get a decent swing on it. As far as hitting goes, it just seems like everyone's just trying to hit the 3 run homer when the bases are empty. Frustrating... just plain frustrating.

    I think I'm finally calmed down enough. When we lose like this you can always pick out any part of the game and say that's why we lost. We had chances to come up with big 2 out hits and we just didn't do it. But the Dunn at bat just stick in my craw. I would have liked to see a lefty face him but Santana has been decent. But why you throw a fastball right down the middle to Dunn is beyond me. And that's right where Miller was set up. It's not like it was a mistake in location. I just couldn't believe it. When he threw the slider in the dirt I'm like, ok, a couple more like that. I realize getting Dunn out there wouldn't guarantee a Brewer win. Heck we probably still would've lost, but the fact that Miller called for that location just drove me nuts. It was almost like they wanted to end the game right away or something.
