  1. Could be a real glorious rule in any situation Hader can pitch the 10th. In theory that would be a real cool advantage. Absolutely is advantage MIL if Hader or Williams hasn't been used yet. I'm just not a big fan of the rule, especially when it goes away in the playoffs. If the gimmick isn't good enough for playoff baseball, don't use it. Hader with an absolutely filthy inning. Pretty much my thoughts too. Part of the confusing merry go round of rules to speed up the game but don’t speed it up in other ways at the same time.

  3. What a horrid AB for Cain...misses an entire bag of batting practice sliders. Nice to get his pitch count up, but you gotta hit the ball a little harder with all those opportunities.
  4. Brewers are actually 11th in wins since the start of 2005. They are tied with Philly at 1262 and a flurry of teams are closely behind by less than 20 games over that span. I think he heard a different stat and totally misinterpreted it. For instance I think we rank pretty highly in the last 4 years or something. Maybe he misunderstood that stat or accidently just mixed up the two right there.
  5. Except the fact it takes up 20% of the screen and their is a giant Bally branded portion that serves zero purpose.
  6. That a professional sports team is some sort of "toy" for a billionaire is a fallacy. Take the Dodgers for example, they reportedly collected 185 million dollars in tickets receipts in 2019. Their TV Deal is worth 8+ billion dollars over 25 years which comes out to $325,000,000 dollars a year. Nobody knows for sure but that is a half-billion dollars of revenue a year from tickets and TV. A payroll of $250,000,0000 is easily doable without the members of the LLC having to throw personal finances into the pot. The hedge fund guys that own these teams are not pumping their own personal cash into the teams on any large scale. It defeats the purpose of buying an MLB team: 1.) they're scarce, 2.) they never sell for less than they're bought for 3.) there's no risk they go out of business, or interfered with by government regulation, and 4.) even the small market ones generate piles of annual revenue. Frankly, winning a World Series might result in a short term boost in revenue, but winning a championship doesn't really make the asset more valuable. Cohen will sacrifices millions more per year than any other owner in his position of owning the Mets would by a long shot. That was the point.

Tipo 00 is usually the flour people use. Part of it has to do with the glutens or proteins being able to hold up for such a long duration cold proof without "over proofing". It actually is doing something positive to the dough the entire time versus a normal flour that is probably doing more bad than good after 24 hours. Tipo 00 dough can sit in the fridge for a week plus and still be good when you pull it out. Of course when you start messing around cold proofing it is always good to get a pizza app that will calculate the necessary ingredients (like yeast) for the amount of time you are going to have it proofing. For 3+ days the amount of yeast needed is really minimal. I use Tipo 00 for my pizza oven because it holds up way better to 1000 degree temps better than normal flour for Neapolitan style. However, I have done 3-day cold proofs and then cooked in a normal oven on a pizza stone...results are still pretty stellar. I am not a flour expert by any means, so I just use what most tend to gravitate towards. The downside is the price, but I don't make crazy homemade pizza often. Some go the extra mile and get the fancy canned San Marzano tomato's from Italy...I just use my own homemade sauce. https://www.amazon.com/Antimo-Caputo-Chefs-Flour-Pounds/dp/B005HEEFN2/ref=asc_df_B005HEEFN2/?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=&hvpos=&hvnetw=o&hvrand=&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=e&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4584207577357124&psc=1
  8. Mets owner Steve Cohen reportedly lost a billion dollars bailing out his friends in the Game Stop saga, and has nearly twice the wealth of the next closest MLB team ownership (his net worth is allegedly between $14-$15 billion). I don’t imagine he’s overly worried about how the contract ages. For him, a 2021 World Series trophy is worth it. With DeGrom around until 2024, he may get one or two more, especially if Stroman and/or Thor re-sign. If only money spent and having the best team actually equated to World Series wins. He will probably win a World Series that way, just like the Dodgers finally did, but that is the beauty of having so much money your baseball team is a toy...not a business. Very few owners in baseball can even operate that way and the ones that can almost always opt to have some kind of realistic profitable business model.
  9. At least Houston doesn't have UCLA on their side of the bracket...they will finally play a single digit seed...in the Final Four.
  10. Should have just made the April Fools joke "MLB adds DH for 2021" That would have got some people good.
  11. Mobile food ordering is: Brat Hot Dog Peanuts Popcorn Miller 16oz can Coors 16oz can Pepsi/Diet Pepsi/Mtn Dew/Sierra Mist Aquafina water Field and Loge have two locations. Club and Terrace have one location. I’m sure the locations and options will be more broad if this mobile ordering is actually effective in practice....but, pretty skimpy to start. Though the simplicity may be the only way for it to make any sense.
  12. I’m pretty sure Darvish was joking.

If you are going to proof dough in the fridge make sure to get proper flour. It is somewhat pointless to do it with normal flour for longer periods. I am sure it makes a difference, but if you are going through that kind of effort you might as well get a high quality flour and really make a difference in taste/texture. I do 3 day proofs, but you have to have dough meant for that long of proofing. It makes an absolutely incredible flavor though, highly recommend.
  14. Which also works nicely for infiltrating the Club Level when you don't have a Club Level ticket but know somebody that does. I no longer wonder why people can't print tickets at home anymore.
  15. i disagree. I was referring to it compared to us selling the naming rights to American Family. I don't think the Marlins is near the worst ever though. I honestly don't think it can get worse than the White Sox field name coupled with the giant red downward arrow.
  16. Marlins have sold their their stadium naming rights, “loanDepot park” The “p” in park is indeed lowercase. It could always be worse.
  17. Old video of Wagner practicing his whole life for that shot:
  18. I can't agree with this. The time to find your wallet is the same as to find your phone and then after that it's: grab cash vs. unlock phone + wait for phone to load + find app + wait for app to load + find ticket in app... not to mention hope your internet is good + hope your phone hasn't died + hope you haven't been logged out of the app for some reason, etc... and a lot of that happens even if you do have your phone ready and it just enters the lock screen on you while you're pulling up to the parking attendant. I think you'll have more people that won't have the right screen on their phone ready to go and there's a lot more going on that can make it take longer than simply paying with cash or showing some sort of printed ticket. Screenshot the QR code or bar code or whatever it is. Then all you have to do is open your photos, click the photo with the code and get it scanned. Simple, takes two seconds. That works....for now. That technically is not something that is suppose to be allowed. Much like any other electronic ticket there is a little ball that rolls around on the screen and the Miller Park lights flash in the background. That isn't for looks, it is a verification step to confirm it isn't a copy/screenshot of the ticket. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually require you to have the legit ticket in the ballpark app.
