  1. Why? He still led them to a 2-1 record in the regular season and then played well the entire playoffs. I get he wasn't the starter the whole year, but an average QB lead them through the playoffs and I don't see any reason Foles couldn't have gotten them to the playoffs himself over 16 games. Somewhat of an asterisks, but I don't think it can be completely thrown out.
  2. Yah, I never understood why Rodgers always got ripped on and somehow Wilson is a victim. His average defense ranking has been 7.5 in his career, Rodgers...15.5. Rodgers has had only had three Top 10 defenses, Wilson has had six. Additionally, Rodgers has had five years where the defense was #20 or worse versus Wilson who has only had one #20+ defense in his career. I get Rodgers is a much better player, but Wilson really has not done much for what he has been given. He hasn't even seen a NFCCG since those two SB runs. Lets not forget the second SB run he was absolutely atrocious and needed a miracle of failures by the Packers to win. Overall he hasn't been that bad in the playoffs, but he really doesn't will them to victory either.
  3. Understandable, you gotta find something enjoyable when your own team hasn’t seen the Elite Eight since 2014-2015.
  4. You can get the Spectrum app through an Apple TV (at least I would assume as they offer them to customers to buy). I’m not sure the minimum gen Apple TV needed, but I am sure you could buy a used one pretty cheap to stream through the app. It’s dumb their app isn’t on every smart TV made. It may be a small enough price gap IF I could just get the app on every TV I own...but this, nope. The stupid costs for the boxes is part of the problem. Not sure why Spectrum won’t just have a real streaming option themselves...probably because they make a killing off those stupid boxes etc.
  5. By the time Michigan tips off they are going to be 10 point underdogs the way the Big Ten has been performing.
  6. That’s why I said double, not triple. It was about 14/15 before it ballooned to 23 overall in the end.
  7. The Badgers shot well enough to win, but they sent Baylor to the line twice as much as they did while also having 14 turnovers compared to 4. But that is Baylor for you...when they are firing on all cylinders not many teams are going to have a chance to win. They are probably the only team one can look at and really think could beat Gonzaga, even if Gonzaga was having a good game.
  8. I still have 5/8 elite eight teams alive...so my bracket isn't a total disaster. My daily picks: 2 Iowa over 7 Oregon 1 Gonzaga over 8 Oklahoma 14 Abilene Christian over 11 UCLA 5 Creighton over 13 Ohio 1 Michigan over 8 LSU 5 Colorado over 4 Florida State 2 Alabama over 10 Maryland 6 USC over 3 Kansas I am guessing Abilene wins today or one of the other double digit seeds wins today (outside of UCLA, obviously).
  9. Was the Big Ten overrated? Yah, probably. I find when your conference is touted as “The Best” all season long it tends to lead to generous seeding for the conference and unreasonable expectations.. I also think having no real terrible teams in your conference aids to overrating some teams. Upsets happen and the more high seeds you send the more opportunity to come up short. I do find the Big Ten usually performs well in the tourney, this year not as much. Though still time for the remaining teams to go really deep and make everyone forget how the rest of the Big Ten played.
  10. UPDATE: They do nothing on offense and settle for a long 2 miss and then give up a rim shattering one handed dunk. Gard getting nothing out of his team after timeouts and have run bland offensive plays. Baylor has stellar defense...but jeez.
  11. Another TV timeout. Last time the Badgers proceeded to watch Baylor have an uncontested layup and then turned it over when they got the ball.
  12. It is a 7-point game with 7+ left, it is a legit game. (Assuming he makes the FT of course). Even 8 down isn’t much.
  13. Man talk about doomsday talk. Didn’t Wisconsin beat a #1 seed in recent memory in the round of 32? I get ~10 down ain’t a great look, but in this kind of game/match up that is well within striking distance.
  14. VCU the first COVID disqualification. Oregon gets the auto win.
  15. Yup, exactly why a tourney run is always easily possible regardless of how good you are. 2018 is a good example. Kansas State made the Elite 8. Why? Because UMBC knocked off the number one seed. How did Loyola Chicago ever make a Final Four? Because they never had to face a #1 or #2 seed. They faced that #9 seed Kansas State in the Elite 8. The highest seed they faced before the Final Four loss was a #3 Tennessee team. The tournament is more about luck of the draw and facing teams that are good match ups for you. Wisconsin already had, what I thought was, a bad bracket. Now the #4 seed and #2 seed are gone. The #5 seed really isn’t that good and the #3 looked shaky in their opening game. Good chance that #3 seed won’t make the Elite 8. They won’t avoid Baylor, but as homer mentioned they match up well. The only concern there is I feel the Badgers end up giving way too many open three attempts at times. The Iowa game in the Big Ten tourney they would have been absolutely destroyed had Iowa been hitting even a slight amount of all the open three attempts they were given. You can’t let Baylor have easy three attempts. I still don’t think Baylor is what it was earlier in the season though, easily beatable, and easily the worst #1 seed in the tourney.
  16. Up 33 to 19 and managed to not only blow the lead in 5 minutes, but go into the half down by 3. Exactly what you cannot do if you want to pull off a big upset.
  17. Well, if Shawn Johnson was a male and played football, she would be a millionaire many times over. So if this is the avenue available to her to cash in on her success, so be it. She has a net worth of $9mil and I am sure that has nothing to do with her YouTube channel. They definitely make some decent money with the views they get, but not as much as you would think.
  18. I think there would be a legitimate issue if you start sticking vaccinated people next to people who bought socially distanced tickets. In my opinion you would have to also socially distance those people or sardine can them all together away from the socially distanced seats. I am sure a lot of people would be upset if they bought tickets under the notion of being socially distanced and 'safe', but then gameday walk-ups are put directly around them. Vaccinated or not you still have a chance to get or spread it. There is a fine line to walk until everyone has their fair shot at getting the vaccine if they want it.
  19. Any Badgers fan put Wisconsin into the Sweet 16 or better not totally based on homerism? I had them (not a badgers fan) in my Sweet 16 and losing to Purdue, but at the end of the day I could not stomach the potential they lose their first game. Now I have them losing in the 2nd round. I still think the Badgers could end up going deep. They certainly have to ability to have a good game against a Baylor team that just isn't what it was earlier in the season. Of course they have to get to that game, but I think they could win it. If they can win that game they are either playing a cinderella team (that often lose in the Sweet 16), a Big Ten team they can beat, or a Villanova team that lost one of their top players earlier in the month. I wouldn't be that shocked if they can make the Sweet 16 or even Elite 8...however, not winning a single game seems like a really high outcome for the Badgers too. I have my team (Kansas) losing in the second round to USC. I am actually surprised on yahoo people are picking Kansas at about 75% rate for that match-up. Kansas is hurting down low from COVID issues and USC is a massive team down low, maybe one of the best in the country. Seems like it should be a popular upset pick for people having it in their bracket.
  20. Illinois / Gonzaga / Alabama / Arkansas That south bracket is a tough one. Not a fan of Baylor in this tourney at all and both the high Big Ten seeds in that bracket don't scream tourney run in my opinion. So with that I picked Arkansas because I didn't want to pick a 5 seed or worse...I honestly know nothing about the Arkansas basketball team. Gonzaga has a really generous road. 2 of the top seeds in their bracket have COVID concerns. I really like Illinois, but their road to the final four is pretty rough. Once they get to the Sweet 16 they will have some real good teams to go against, potentially of course. Michigan is a good squad, I just think someone topples them and that is probably Alabama. Texas is a darkhorse, but I am not much of a Shaka Smart fan.
  21. You will get a link tomorrow, but you can go in through the link you were already sent that had a "more information" link. All you need to do is be logged in and you will be able to look through the tickets once the pre-sale time starts, no passwords. I got the email today at approx. 7am
  22. I think this is why pre/post game is best suited for him. His personality is fantastic in short spurts, but 3 hours straight? It kind of loses it's luster.
  23. It has been around quite a few years...I would say most teams do it now (if not all). There was a button you could hit and literally zoom around all 40k seats if you wanted. Fantastic if you wanted an aisle seat etc. I always used it to find first row in sections because the system views the closest section to Homeplate as being the best available. So it would put you in row 20 in one section instead of row 1 just 10 feet farther down the line. I am not shocked one can't do it for these pre sales though. I don't think it has ever been an option for postseason tickets and this pre sale is set up in similar fashion.
  24. Sure, you can pick what area...but not the usual where you can pick the specific section number and even specific seats within that section. At least not on my end.
