  1. I mean I have no idea how they are going to do this...but most sports teams have had people in pods of 2 to 4. Lets be honest, tailgating would have people creating groups of 20+ quickly.
  2. Yah, but on the flip side it won't take into considerations the fact Miller Park is much smaller in CF/RF and the outfielders can cover a lot more of the overall field...thus less balls dropping for singles/doubles. Of course the ballparks he will play in are totally different. It is a fun exercise...but I don't know it really says much. People always think a guy will hit more homers coming to Miller Park and so often it doesn't really equate to that. Just looking at his HRs and their distances on baseball savant when he hits them, he REALLY hits em out.
  3. I find myself Wondering what the distance was on that outlier home run to deep right center field. Because that must have been a monster shot https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/sporty-videos?playId=c030e4e9-949d-4518-b0d8-cc8d55babbcd
  4. There is no place for Braun on this team and honestly that is a good thing. Time to move on, we are better without him. It was a good ride, but he just doesn't isn't what he once was. I would much rather have Bradley Jr. than Braun for many reasons.
  5. Yah...I am okay with them not locking up 2 or more guys like Yelich. Actually, I wish we didn't even have Yelich locked up like that. If Stearns uses payroll consistently on short term deals (one you literally just called team friendly) instead of risky and in the end poor 4+ year deals, who cares? I just want it to actually work. Sounds like you want the past where Attanasio controlled the payroll and signed the likes of Lohse/Garza/Suppan/Ramirez/etc. While I don't think it was as bad as some make it...it certainly didn't lead to much success. Honestly, you could argue it led to no success as most of that type of signing happened post 2011.

  7. He is a great compliment to Garcia/Cain in my opinion. A bit pricey, but in the end he will still probably have over 400 ABs. If you are simply looking at small sample size stats from 2020 or are living in the year 2016 this is probably a lot more exciting to you. A closer look at his three years prior to 2020 tells us an average offensive player overall is probably a more realistic expectation. Of course if he sits a bunch versus lefties he may end up looking a bit more favorable in a platoon situation.

  9. I am guessing the only reason the club level exists is because they wanted the second set of suites and might as well slap some seats with them. Adds to the variety of experience options I suppose. I love those tailgate style areas.
  10. But...it is right next to massive beer cans and a massive picture of a guy carrying a keg. I know, it isn't coming back, but I don't really get the lack of family friendliness of it.
  11. In retrospect why was it ever a dugout and why was it simply a steel box? Amazing it took two decades for them the make it look like something legit. Is the barrel actually returning or did they just give him a chalet?
  12. I don't think that has anything to do with whether or not they bring back FSWI...I am sure they know locals can't watch on MLB.TV.
  13. Isan Diaz was a Top 100 prospect at the time of that trade by at least one outlet (MLB.com) I believe. Baseball America had Monte Harrison in the 70s pre-2018. A lot of those lists get updated in February so at the time of the trade they weren't overly accurate at the time of the trade. They got three really solid prospects and an intriguing pitcher.
  14. Or that we would have actually kept them if the Yelich deal didn't happen. Good chance we just ship them off somewhere else...at least 1 or 2 of the bunch. Brinson seems like he would have been traded regardless. If they really thought highly of Brinson why did they trade him in the first place? He was an MLB ready 23 year old that absolutely obliterated AAA pitching. He played CF and had pretty good defense. At face value his potential was way higher than Yelich, could have been paid $500k, and didn't require shipping off three more players with him to get a career .800 OPS corner outfielder. They probably wouldn't admit it, but I am guessing the Brewers front office wasn't that high on Brinson if they shipped him off like that. Not saying they hated him and thought he was a future bust, but there is a reason they shipped him off with three other guys for what seemed like a fringe All Star at a less than premium position.
  15. It would have been cool, but I wouldn't even give Watt one year at that price with our cap crunch. He has played 8 or less game 3 times in the last 5 years. Not to mention he is 30+ and his stats aren't what they used to be. I keep seeing stuff about Russell Wilson, the QB drama in Green Bay must have gotten too boring for ESPN to stir up.
  16. I don't know that Monte Harrison was a lottery pick. He was coming off a huge breakout year before that trade happened. I would have to find a list that went beyond the Top 100, but that offseason I think he was a fringe Top 100 guy. Not only that, but he looked like a guy ready to fly up rankings after his 2017 season. If I recall correctly I also think he dealt with injuries early on. His breakout year was the first time he had 500 PAs.
  17. Keston Hiura wasn't going to magically figure out how to not strikeout in a few months of relaxing at home. Hopefully he improves a bit with more MLB experience, but I doubt he is ever pleasant in that regard. 25% K rate is probably a realistic end goal/dream.
  18. The utter failure of everyone in this trade for the Marlins is kind of incredible. Even Isan Diaz and Monte Harrison are getting pretty old. Both of those guys are going into their age 25 season. That is getting pretty old for guys that have been in pro ball their entire adult lives. It is a prove it year for all of those guys. If they can't be half competent this year they probably never will be.
  19. I am sure it is for subscribers only. Rumor is they want a subscription type service eventually, but no way that is ready to launch yet. Sounded like next year, maybe. As far as them having a choice, no, they most certainly did not. It is kinda like the whole stadium name thing...sucks, but not like there was much of an alternative. Any alternative would have meant less money coming in to the Brewers and the payroll is already to low for most.
  20. Is what it is...just a prep for their gambling plans for the networks. Attanasio doesn't care, that vision is probably what lead Sinclair to dumping millions into his bank account ever year. I can't blame Attanasio, he does so well for the fan experience, but the TV contract is one of the biggest cash cows for the franchise. Sinclair is garbage for fans...but here we are, stuck with them.
  21. YES! JUST give me a TRUE sports package (+TNT and TBS for NBA/baseball and NCAAs)...and local over the air networks. Why can't this be done for $50 or less? It's like there is this huge gap between going cheap $25-$30 per month where you don't get what you want, and then there is going hyper-deluxe for $125-$200 per month where you get a ridiculous amount of channels and content that you don't want. It shouldn't be that hard. Sir, you are missing the point. There is a very good reason why they don't just package all the sports together...because then you are spending just $50 and not $100+. Sports are the cash cow...they package it with junk because they know people will pay for all that junk just to watch the sports. Why would they give you an option to spend less money? You are basically asking why they don't cut profits to save their customer money, that doesn't make any sense.
  22. Okay, cool. Doesn't change the fact the statement was completely wrong and stereotyping how well he was set off financially because of how much his parents have. Either his dad has already blown most of his money or raised his kid(s) to earn their own money.
  23. Totally different personal circumstances around those contracts. Tatis grew up in a big league household with tons of money. He could gamble and wait for a massive deal. Acuna didn't come from that background and if he got hurt or took a FB to the head and couldn't play again, he's not going to get that payday. It's all about risk of the next contract and Tatis has less risk because of his situation. Completely false statement Tatis took money as a 19 year old (I would presume less than $1mil, though I haven't seen a report on what it actually was) from an investment company. A company he now owes almost $30mil from his contract as apart of the deal. Didn't his dad play 40 years ago and never actually make the majors? How rich can his family possibly be? Regardless, clearly he was so concerned he could flame out and never make money that he gambled a ton of potential future earnings for a small payday at 19.
  24. You can do ATT TV on a monthly basis. The price is higher the first year, but then cheaper after that versus a contract as the second year of a contract is much higher. It is only a $8 or so increase to be on a monthly basis and it doesn't have an automatic increase after a year. Not sure why anyone would go with the contract to be honest. That being said it really isn't any cheaper than cable. It is just the cable equivalent for ATT internet users because they can bundle it for slightly cheaper prices.
  25. He is one of the top rotation options after the first five...why would he not be stretched out in ST? This is pretty typical in any year. You can't just stretch out 5 guys, especially with the frequency of starters having injuries to start the year.
