  1. Unlike last week, this is the perfect situation to use Tyler Alexander. To beat this lineup you need to throw strikes and let them put it in play. Its perfect for the old school innings eater.
  2. I'm happy that it helps the Brewers here but its ridiculous that this is how replay is used in today's game.
  3. And that didn't build enough mental toughness to not get all worked up by a 13-15 start after winning 3 of the last 4 division titles?
  4. Yeah .500 was the pinnacle of success at that time. It's 2025, the Brewers have won the division three of the past four years.
  5. No he's made decisions that haven't worked out at times. That's because the game is played by players, not the manager. There have been very few actual bad management decisions by Murphy since he took over.
  6. Couldn't disagree more. Murphy is a fine manager. Only major game management mistake all year was trying to use Alexander as a setup man the other day.
  7. The broadcast showed them both sitting in the dugout with no training staff with them or anything, and a benching would make a lot of sense. Those are a couple of really dumb mental mistakes.
  8. Boy you wouldn't have lasted long as a fan of this team 20 years ago
  9. So this looks like its just a benching, maybe durbin for getting picked off and frelick for badly missing the cutoff man an inning ago?
  10. If you put Alexander in the 5th or 6th because of lack of bullpen options and he blows it, at least you dont end up using everyone in a loss. There's no off day tomorrow.
  11. And now they go to Megill after the game is already blown. What a ridiculous management mistake.
  12. Yeah its pretty basic bullpen management strategy when holding a small lead. You want to save your best pitchers for 8th and 9th since thats when it matters most with a 1 run lead.
  13. Wow that is massive bullpen mismanagement to have Alexander pitching in a setup role in the 8th.
  14. No MLB tv and game somehow isn't on MLB Extra Innings. Thank god for streameast. I'm not sure there's a worse run league in the world when it comes to broadcasting their games.
  15. Megill needs work. Its been blowout after blowout one way or the other all year so far
  16. The idea of a sportsbook right outside the stadium is interesting. It truly is a new world.
  17. Dbacks fans within earshot sound a little special, or maybe very drunk
