Which is somewhat interesting how the thinking has switched. Not too long ago every team would save the closer until they had a lead in extras when on the road.
Well managed game, really like putting the closer in the 10th in a tie game. With a ghost runner on 2nd in extras it's better to use your best reliever then instead of the 9th.
Came here to see if anyone else noticed that. A 9 inning non-rain shortened game where a team does not get through their batting order three full times is an incredible rarity.
It's nice seeing the outside perspective of things. It's rare to see teams string together hits like this these days and the Brewers have been able to do it all year.
