  1. Id get someone warming in the pen after that first pitch
  2. No better time than now for a Menards Big Inning!
  3. There is a lot of luck involved in short postseason series but making terrible decisions time and time again certainly hurts. There is no reason Montas should have started this game and there is no reason he should still be in this game.
  4. Random variance for the most part. Each season is a different team with many different players. Less so in 2020 though. That team gets lumped in with other postseason losses but that team shouldn't have been there and was significantly worse than the dodgers.
  5. Yeah but there's nothing more that can be done than try to build a team to have a great regular season and hope for the best. This postseason system is terrible. Any team can win one or two games against any other team and in the postseason when teams are this close together every series is a coinflip. Sure I think the brewers may be slightly better than the mets this year and if they played this one thousand times in the longrun, the brewers win the series 53% of the time. But there is no long run. It's one series. Anything can happen.
  6. Giving up three runs in four innings is not good enough.
  7. One of the biggest negatives to this game, is the guy who should be tomorrow's game 2 starter is currently pitching in this game in a lost cause.

  9. Yeah the other day in the gym I heard he's up to using the 10 pound dumbbells.
  10. If you would've told me before the season that Colin Rea would be a qualifier, I would have been very surprised. Very nice year.
  11. Glad the sporstsbook had the Brewer game on in the corner this afternoon. Win of the year! Biggest comeback since '04 I think
  12. Wisconsin sports hero
  13. Which is somewhat interesting how the thinking has switched. Not too long ago every team would save the closer until they had a lead in extras when on the road.
  14. Well managed game, really like putting the closer in the 10th in a tie game. With a ghost runner on 2nd in extras it's better to use your best reliever then instead of the 9th.
  15. Nothing like a 9:40am Pacific time game, good thing I'm working from home today!
  16. Came here to see if anyone else noticed that. A 9 inning non-rain shortened game where a team does not get through their batting order three full times is an incredible rarity.
  17. I don't know about this one. Wouldn't they have been better off just moving Junis back to the rotation?
  18. Good to grind out wins on the frustrating days when everyone is angry all game long.
