  1. Someone who's already rich cares more about trying to become super rich instead of helping his team win
  2. As the second #8 seed to ever do so, neither won the finals. In hockey I agree, just get in, far more variance in that sport. In baseball too since every postseason series is pretty close to 50/50. In the history of the NBA, two teams that finished 4th or lower in their conference have won the finals.
  3. Yeah the old office employee compared to a professional athlete comparison post never really works. Being a professional athlete means constant competition and an expectation that you will do everything possible to make yourself the best you can be and help the team win. They are paid a high amount of money regardless.
  4. Are there a lot of #6 or #7 seeds that win titles? Yeah they don't have to do much to make the playoffs when 20/30 teams get in but going forward that's probably all they'll do is just make the playoffs.
  5. A disaster season from start to finish
  6. I would think it will be a while if we ever see him in a Brewer uniform again. He needs to get himself in a different place mentally.
  7. Can't Uribe appeal any suspension and continue to pitch?
  8. I'd like to see a ballpark guide. Maybe as a new forum with a thread for each park. Would be nice to have a place where fans who travel to road games can share their experiences at each ballpark. Plus there's a number of us here who don't live anywhere near Milwaukee anymore and the majority of the Brewer games we attend are road games somewhere else.
  9. Are you also right handed? If so, you can definitely fill the role of righty who makes outs vs left handed pitching.
  10. Alright! We got the no command Chapman tonight!
  11. I can see why the Pirates have a low pitch count restriction on this guy. Great talent though
  12. Velocity is down this inning for Jones and he's lost his command.
  13. All things considered, that is an excruciating loss for the Cardinals.
  14. Oof, Now I remember why I never click on the articles on this site.
  15. Well also you really shouldn't pull the plug on an established veteran after 27 at bats
  16. Wow what a gamble to stick with Peralta. And it worked!
  17. Wow, just saw the play Uribe made in the 8th. Whoever was on the radio call, I don't keep track of the names too well these days other than Uke, did not do that play justice. Incredible play for a pitcher!
  18. I don't think they have that luxury unless they go out and get another starter or two. This bullpen is never going to last with the amount of innings they have to eat up.
  19. That's strange, I must've missed the 6 or 7 man rotations they were running in past years. I count six times Peralta pitched on 4 days rest last year and seven times for Burnes.
  20. Is Freddy Peralta hurt or something? Why is he not starting today?
  21. Not sure but he has a long way to go to pass the league leading 23 from Contreras last year
  22. Even on days where they "only" have three runs through four innings it feels like they could have a lot more. This team is really hitting.
