  1. It really is different depending on what city. el train is great in Chicago to go to Wrigley. Trying to take the train to Dodgers stadium in LA? Not so much.
  2. I always used to just drive to the Dempster station, park at the Jewel Osco and take the red line directly to Wrigley.
  3. Might stop by this summer when the Brewers visit.
  4. Well the main use is to find a Chourio, it's just going to be very rare. That Timber Rattlers roster has been littered for years with DSL guys who can't hit. Now I'm not saying there's a lack of talent from Latin America, but at their age level they'd be playing in college if American born instead of entering their third or fourth year in the minor leagues. Team control should be based on age a player is signed, it should not be the same for every player.
  5. Love Petco! Obviously sitting close is great but Petco and Dodger stadium are two places I love to be in the top deck behind home plate.
  6. I'll make sure to have the west mostly covered this year. Here's a bonus one from last year during spring training in Vegas.
  7. Could not agree more! I think I brought this up the last couple years when the site overlord was asking for site suggestions. There should be a whole section of this site dedicated to road ballpark experiences (pictures, tips, where to park, restaurants, etc). Vast majority of games I attend these days are road games, and I'm not alone.
  8. Good trade. The main use of DSL guys should be to trade them. For every Chourio there's a thousand Hedberts who get to A ball and can't hit. Given the current system and the signing of them so young at 16 teams are incentivized to rush them up through the system too quickly compared to high school and college draft picks. This is part of what has lead to the massive failure rate of DSL prospects.
  9. I'll be there as well for all three games. I have only been there once a couple years ago for a Badgers bowl game
  10. This was a good response after getting manhandled by Iowa two weeks ago.
  11. Exactly. I give no credit to current management. Giannis wasn't drafted by Horst. They have drafted a grand total of two useful players since 2014 and neither of them are still on the team. Almost all the rotational guys who actually play are 30+ years old.
  12. Well maybe think a little harder before sharing your ideas. Why would any fan show up to watch that? Why would any player care? Why would you have reverse draft order for the other 22 teams but for these teams its based on wins?
  13. It doesn't matter because something like this will never happen and will obviously never even be considered. Posts like this remind me of that old commercial where instead of a warning track, they have a warning moat in the outfield.
  14. Are you saying they would still have reverse draft order after this "playoff", meaning the team who wins picks 8th? None of this makes any sense.
  15. Why would you have reverse draft order but then have the complete opposite for the last eight spots? Why would any player want to take part in something like that?
  16. A playoff between all the bad teams for the #1 pick defies all logic.
  17. That's because 4/130 is not a playoff, especially when undefeated teams get left out. That is an invitational. There has never actually been a national champion in D1 FBS level football and the NCAA does not directly crown one. There have only been mythical titles claimed by schools after winning bowl games. MLB used to have 8/30 make the postseason. This was a reasonable number and it meant that making the postseason was somewhat difficult and meant something. That's the number it should be today.
  18. Three division winners and one wild card from each league. Postseason starts with the divisional series. Anything more than eight out of thirty is always worse.
  19. It'd be the same narrative unless they win the world series one of those years.
