Me imagining Yelich as a Cardinal: LMAO at the Cardinals and Braves fans deciding that the reason their teams didn't make a good, strong offer for Yelich was obviously because the Marlins had asked them for far more than the Brewers offered (and they were obviously too insulted to make a counteroffer)... If it hadn't been for those greedy Marlins, we'd have had him instead of the Brewers... Because god forbid anyone should have a smarter GM than theirs...

That's a heck of a lot to give up for one bat. One of the top prospects in the game, plus two other highly-regarded prospects and a young pitcher (well, tbh, the latter doesn't bother me too much). Apparently they weren't that excited about Brinson. I like Yelich but I'll feel better about this if there's another piece coming back.
