  1. What about comparing Hart's numbers to Dye over the last year and a half? He has been awful since then.
  2. At this point I'd be willing to give Hart to Washington for a minor leaguer if a) they pick up his salary and b) we can work out a deal with Jermaine Dye. I doubt it's going to happen, but it would be nice. Then I'd like to see Gamel moved to right field and play every day in Nashville once he gets better.
  3. That's going to be a heck of a lineup once everyone is healthy. Green, Cain, Lawrie, Lucroy, Gindl, and Schafer. The pitching staff looks pretty tough too. This should be a good team. Very balanced. I am disappointed Jones was moved to the bullpen, but I hope he excels in the role.
  4. Why doesn't WVU get in these guys faces? They give them room just to walk up to the three point line and shoot. Anyone whose watched Duke play in the last 10 years knows they are going to shoot the three pointer. Get up there. If they drive by you, they drive by you, but that's not their game. Man I hate Duke. I hate Butler too. This is like a bad dream come true.
  5. Yeah I guess his numbers weren't all that great, but considering he went from A+ to AAA and it was his full healthy season in forever, I would have liked to see him given another year at AAA in the rotation to see if they was any improvement. Its not like we have much hope for Marck Estrada and Chris Waters making any sort of impact in Milwaukee. And I see I made a mistake in my last post as Braddock is in Nashville, not Huntsville. Any word on whether he is going to be the closer?
  6. Why did they switch Mike Jones to a reliever? He made such progress last season and made it all the way up to starting in Nashville, and while he didn't blow anyone out of the water he certainly held his own. Seems like going to starting in AAA to relieving in AA is a huge step back. Does anyone have idea how he feels about the switch? That being said, with a bullpen of Braddock, Wooten, and Jones, it seems like a late inning lead for Huntsville will look awfully good.
  7. Certainly makes this tournament less special. Now how bad do you have to be not to make it? Adding not one, not two, but 31 more mediocre teams.
  8. http://sportsillustrated.....ap/index.html?eref=sihp This is not an April fools joke, but apparently they are very close to expanding the tournament to 96 teams. What an absolute joke this is. You are taking the best part of all college sports and screwing with it. We all knew this anyway, but this is one more argument that the NCAA does not care one iota about its "student" athletes and is all about the money. The tournament as is stands now is perfect. Think about. Teams like Jacksonville, Stoney-Brooke and Quinipiac would have been in the tournament this year. Does anyone really think these teams have a chance to win more than one game? This is all about money, and quite frankly the NCAA and the college presidents are embarrassing themselves by expanding the basketball tournament to 96 teams while still pretending they can't make a 16 team football tournament work. It also more or less is going to kill the NIT.
  9. Yeah that was actually a pretty cool scene. Don't forget though I think one of the Secret Service Agents took out one of the military guys. Doesn't make it much more realistic, but at least they had Jack use a smoke bomb instead of just having them take out the military team one by one. I don't like the heart attack angle though.
  10. Alright. I'll throw in a Jeff Suppan bobble head to whoever buys these.
  11. I don't understand why Jones and Cody both wouldn't start? Granted Cody's upside isn't all that high, but why just give up on him?
  12. I've never been much of a girl's basketball fan, but this Pius-Vincent game is pretty exciting.
  13. Is this as big of an upset as Holy Cross taking out Minnesota in 2006?
  14. I wasn't sure if there was a rule against selling tickets on here, but I have two Bucks tickets I am trying to get rid of for under face value. The tickets are for Monday, April 12 vs Atlanta. They are in section 203, row R, seats 3 and 4. The face value is $61 each. I won them in a charity auction but am unable to attend. I'm asking $90 total, or best offer. That about $15 off each ticket. I've linked a seating chart to the Bradley Center below so people can see where the seats would be. If anyone is interested send me a PM. Thanks http://www.bradleycenter.com/seating/basketball.asp
  15. Really? I thought the first game (Thursday) was on and the championship game was on, but only as a tape delay at like 10:30 at night or something?
  16. After a season of such pitiful tv coverage, including the Final Five, it's refreshing to be able to actually watch the game on TV on Friday.
  17. One thing that is much different this season from the past is the Tactical Teams. In the past those guys were awesome. They'd come in a save Jack and kick butt the entire way (except in season 6 when they couldn't get to the nuke in time and all got blown up). This season it's like a bunch of young, inexperienced kids who don't know what they are doing.
  18. I watched the second half on tv. I've never seen a team shoot like Arrowhead did in that half. I was shocked. Madison Memorial is a good, good team, and Arrowhead outscored them by something like 27 points is one half. Amazing. On a side note, was this MM's fourth straight Division 1 title game?
  19. I'm really hoping to see Madison Memorial and Milwaukee Hamilton in the finals in D1. Loads of D1 talent on those two teams, and I honestly think they are the two best teams. I have never been a fan of how the tournament is set up as a lot of times the best teams end up playing each other in the quarterfinals, or even in the sectionals. But I think it could work out this year.
  20. So ATT is not showing all the games at once on alternate channels. Does anyone know if Time Warner Cable is?
  21. Ok that makes a Nashville rotation of Jones, Butler, Cody, Lofgren and Capuano. Thats a nice looking rotation down there.
  22. Well I hate to give up on Aguilar, but he really took a step back last season. It's nice to get another starter in the organization. Where do we think he's going to start out. Huntsville? That makes an already good rotation (Rogers, Rivas, Anundson) even better.
  23. Does anyone who has ATT Uverse know if they are some alternate channel that is going to air every NCAA tournament game? I had it last season but can't remember. I know TWC usually showed every single game.
  24. Albert Pujols IS St Louis. It's hard to imagine them trading him.
  25. Lofgren isn't one of the 12 best pitchers, he's a second LOOGY at this point. He couldn't fill the role of the 12th man right now? The guy who pitches in the 5th inning when the crew is down by 6 or in the 9th when they are up by 4? There was an article in the JS today that mentioned he has pitched 3 scoreless innings so far this spring. I don't follow spring training at all so I don't know if that's accurate or if his scoreless innings have been full of drama and its pure luck that he hasn't given up a run yet, but I just can't see how he wouldn't be able to fill the role as the long man.
