  1. I’m sorry but this is hilarious to me. First , how can you just proclaim Alabama is with certainty better than Ohio St? Did they play on a neutral field? Or are you just assuming? Same with Georgia over Wisconsin. These teams are close enough that they’d need to play on a neutral field to determine who is better. But just using your method Id argue Auburn is NOT > Penn St. LSU is NOT > than Michigan St. Florida is NOT > than Purdue. Also Tennessee over Indiana is very questionable, as is Mississippi over NW and Texas AM over Iowa. The issue with the SEC is that nobody can consistently beat Alabama. What does it say about the conference when one team is so much better than everyone else? The SEC used to be the best conference bar none. That’s just not the case anymore. Also keep in mind that they only play 8 conference games. It may not seem like a big deal but an extra conference game guarantees half of the teams get an additional loss. It’s one less cupcake on their schedule.
  2. I think them claiming a NC is dumb. They should be demanding a game vs Alabama and calling for a change in the system them excluded them. Look, they are the only team in FBS to win all their games. No the schedule wasn’t that tough but I’d be willing to guess it was stronger than at least several teams from the Power 5 conferences. And had any power 5 conference team been undefeated they’d be in. Additionally, they beat Auburn on a neutral field. They also beat a good Memphis team twice and a good South Florida team. They deserved a shot in the playoff. Yet because there are only four teams in the playoff they never really had a chance. On a completely separate note, did anyone watch the major choke job by Georgia last night? My lord.
  3. I logged out of my Amazon account and logged into my wife’s on the Alexa app. The songs now appear in the Amazon Music section, which they didn’t before, but they still won’t play. Alexa says she can’t find the songs. I don’t understand
  4. Do you happen to remember if you did anything special?
  5. I’m hoping someone can help me out here: For Christmas my wife bought me an Amazon Echo Dot. I love it but I’m having issues with Amazon Music. We do not have Amazon Music Unlimited but we are Prime members. On my Firestick I can open Amazon Music and play pretty much any song I’m looking for, create playlists and so on. My issue is that I cannot get the Echo to play full songs on Amazon Music. If i ask Alexa to play whatever song, it will just play a sample. I don’t understand why I can play full songs on the app but the Echo will not play full songs. Does anyone have any suggestions?
  6. They could always start the season a week earlier. Or better yet go back to three non conference games rather than four. One less opportunity to see Alabama play Furman. Bummer. On a side note, every year my brother and I wager on the bowl games where we just switch off picking games and whoever wins more games wins the bet. Because of that I watch a lot of these crap bowls. The attendance at many of these second and third tier bowls is an absolute joke. I’m talking stadiums 75% empty (or more). If they are really concerned about players playing too many games or missing class or finals or whatever how about eliminating half of these stupid pointless bowl games where two 6-6 teams play each other in front of 8,000 fans?
  7. It really is a simple solution to me. Go to 8. Five power 5 champs get automatic bids. Highest ranked group of 5 champ gets auto bid if they are ranked as a top 15 team by the committee So this year that’s Clemson, Georgia, Oklahoma, Ohio St, USC and UCF. Can anyone really argue with that? Then two at large. This year it’s pretty clearly Alabama and Wisconsin. Simple. It won’t always be this simple but the fact is a power five champ should never be left out in favor of a team that didnt even in their own division. Plus it eliminates the built in advantage the SEC and ACC have with 8 game conference schedules. And it still emphasizes regular season because the regular season because teams will want a good resume in case they don’t win their conference.
  8. On a side note, the two teams playing for the N.C. both lost to Auburn.....whom Central Florida just beat to remain undefeated. The playoffs need to expand to 8. Plain and simple.
  9. People aren’t calling him a moron because of him trying to get out of playing in Cleveland. It’s because of how big of a risk he’s taking if he doesn’t come out. If he’s comes out now he’ll be picked either first or second. That is ALOT of money. I get that he doesn’t care about money but turning down millions of dollars AND risking even more by playing another year in college is very very risky. Perhaps he’ll care about the money when he retires at 35. Even if all goes well next year at UCLA and he’s a top pick again, guess what, he’s going to be picked by a bad team again. And it might not be one like Cleveland who is loaded with high picks to surround him with talent. And yes maybe he’ll go to a team that sits him for a year (Cleveland may even do that if Kizer shows them something so they can increase Kizers value to trade him) but as a top pick he’s not getting 3-4 years to learn like Rogers. He’ll be expected to play early no matter where he is. If teams have a better option they aren’t going to pick him. Ultimately I think Cleveland picks Rosen 1 then trades 4 to add an additional second or third round pick.
  10. Cleveland can probably draft the best offensive lineman with their second pick which is currently #4 overall. Or they could probably get a haul for #1 from someone who really wants Rosen, grab Jackson at 4 then draft two O linemen in the second round. Or they could draft Rosen at one and trade 4. Or draft Rosen at 1, a defender like Fitzpatrick at 4, then load up on the lines later in the draft. They have so many options and all of them are good. But they need to make a plan. They should have looked ahead to this years QB class last draft and not wasted a second rounder on Kizer.
  11. Why anyone would pass up being the number 1 overall pick is beyond my comprehension. You go back because you don’t want to play in Cleveland and then you tear an ACL and all of a sudden you’re a fourth round pick. Cleveland will have two top 7 picks and a bunch of second rounders. They’ll get better. I’d rather be known as the guy who helped turn around the franchise then the guy who refused to play there.
  12. I have to admit I’m a little disappointed that we won’t see an actual Kylo-Luke lightsaber battle, considering Kylo destroyed the new Jedi order and all. I guess it makes sense becuase, really, it shouldn’t even be a contest as Luke would destroy him and it would make Kylo look pretty weak. I don’t know. It just seems to me like TLJ wasted a lot of opportunities that presented themselves in TFA.
  13. So it seems Kim there is a lot to wrap up in the last movie. Princess Leia obviously needs to die. I’m a little surprised they took Luke instead of her in this movie. Also since Luke told Kylo that he was not the last Jedi I assume Rey is going to bring a new Jedi Order and that kid in the very last scene will be part of it? They already announced a whole new trilogy. I wonder if it will center around that boy. Daisy Ridley has announced that after the 9th movie she’s done. And then what kind of galaxy is it going to be? By that I mean.....the Republic was blown to hell in TFA, the Resistance is all but gone, and the First Order took major losses too. Exactly who, if anyone, is going to be “in charge”? Luke mentions a rebellion. Does the rebellion just simply replace the resistance? The last movie will be interesting.
  14. The NCAA needs to step in and regulate scheduling. I mentioned earlier but there should be a few simple rules: All conferences play the same number of conference games. No non conference games after a certain date unless it’s a team that’s not affiliated with a conference. And no FCS teams.
  15. Alabama to the playoff. The thing that bothers me most about this is it justifies and encourages their BS scheduling. Their last two games are a loss to Auburn and a win vs a FCS team. On top of that they have 8 conference games vs 9. Explain to me why the Big 10 shouldn’t go back to an 8 game conference schedule. Ohio St shouldn’t have gotten in last year over Penn St but I think they should have been in this year.
  16. With Phillips and Harrison I think perhaps the Brewers would be wise to dangle Brinson in hopes of getting a TOR pitcher. You’d need more, at least one other top prospect and probably a pitcher at that but we have a need for elite pitching on the major league level Nobody is on my no trade list but I’d hate to see Harrison, Hiura, Lutz, Burnes or Peralta traded. It has to be the right return.
  17. I think the ideal is an 8 team playoff and going back to 11 regular season games. The winner of the five power conferences and the highest rank group of 5 are all automatic qualifiers and then two at large teams. So this year as it stands now we’ll say: 1) Clemson vs 8) UCF 2) Auburn vs 7) USC 3) Oklahoma vs 6) Ohio St 4) UW vs 5) Alabama
  18. Alabama has this amazing ability to schedule non conference games against name programs when said program is having a down year. Florida St. Michigan. Penn St. Virginia Tech. Louisville next year after Jackson is gone. I’m telling you. The SEC has absolutely perfected the art of scheduling 2011 by the way is the last time they play a non conference roadgame
  19. I really wonder if Ohio St leaps Alabama if they win. Ohio St will have wins over #9 Penn St #16 Michigan St and #4 Wisconsin with a loss to #3 Oklahoma. All of those wins are better than Alabama’s top win, which would be #17 LSU. Ohio St would also be a conference champion. But they have two losses. It’ll be interesting if it happens. Do you leave out a two loss Big Ten champ to include a one loss, second SEC team?
  20. If Wisconsin loses to Ohio St their best win is Northwestern. That’s similar to Alabama’s best win against LSU. Wisconsin’s second best win is Michigan. That should be similar to Alabama’s second best win over Mississippi St but for some reason MSU is still ranked and Michigan got no respect all year. I think they have remarkably even resumes. The difference should be that Wisconsin won their division and Alabama didn’t. But the difference WILL BE that Alabama is Alabama and Wisconsin is not Alabama.
  21. The NCAA really needs to step in to the scheduling issue. First off, all conferences should be playing the same number of conference games. The SEC and the ACC have a HUGE advantage by playing only 8 games. Additionally, games against FCS teams shouldn’t be allowed. Alabama playing Mercer is a joke. Also, non conference games shouldn’t be allowed after a certain date unless they are either makeup games or games against FBS independent teams (i.e. Notre Dame). With how big the playoff has become conferences have a huge incentive to get their teams in. And I’ve said for years the SEC, with how they handle their schedule, seems to do it with the sole purpose of rewarding their best teams and making sure they are in it at the end. How else does Alabama get a bye every single year before the LSU game? And when is the last time Alabama played a non conference true road game? I think it’s been over a decade.
  22. My biggest concern about the rankings is that the members don’t just take this season into consideration. They’ll take recent history into consideration too. That’s why Clemson will be 1 and that’s why Alabama will be 5, in great position to get in if UW or Oklahoma loses.
  23. If Auburn wins they are in. They have beaten the playoff committees number 1 team twice. They’ll have also beaten Georgia a second time when Georgia is probably 6 or 7. Their losses aren’t terrible either. Clemson and LSU. I think it gets interesting if Ohio St beats Wisconsin. Ohio St will have two losses but will have a better resume by far than Alabama. Plus they will be a conference champion.
  24. If we look at blind resumes then Alabama should already be out of contention. They didn’t win their division and they’ll have all of one win against a top 25 team (LSU) now that Mississippi St lost. I’m just so sick of people acting like Alabama has this super tough schedule because they are in the SEC West. BUT they are Alabama so if either Oklahoma or Wisconsin loses they’ll be in.
  25. 1) Clemson 2) Oklahoma 3) Auburn 4) Wisconsin 5) Alabama That’s how I see it playing out. The next few will be Georgia, Miami Ohio State and Notre Dame if they win. I still think Oklahoma is the best team.
