  1. Let me clear that up a little bit. The holdup is a player amongst the teams. Not Martinez. I would put very good odds that something will get done between the Brewers and the Indians before opening day. And it will more than likely include Santana. Do not be surprised if Santana is also dealt for a high end pitching prospect who may only be a year away from major league ready. See Puk/Groome.
  2. I agree. This will also allow for match ups to benefit Domingo even more. Possibly even have him in there against poor pitching to increase #'s. Definitely as a DH. And showcase him for an entire series against a potential suitor.
  3. If Domingo stays on for the first half and can sustain his numbers from last year he will drive his own price up substantially. Anytime that someone is listed as a possible one year wonder, the jury will be out. Drop 20 dingers by mid July and you now have a truly valuable asset. It also let's you know whether Phillips has it or not for this year.
  4. Well, I'm done. I don't need to get my source in trouble either. Too much crap to walkthrough especially from twitter. Recently as Mr. TPlush. And it's a shame for all the non pricks out there. And just for a parting gift......................."Chernoff" is all I have to say. Goodbye folks.
  5. And apparently I'm glad I missed you.
  6. My question would be then that if the Brewers don't see themselves as a likely landing spot for Darvish, are they engaged on a pitcher like Cobb? I'm warming on him as a potential TOR starter. He doesn't have near the milage on his arm that a guy like Darvish or Arrieta has. Yes., but they essentially are engaged with all the top starters. In the Brewer's view, everyone has a price. The key is that there is a preferred pecking order.
  7. https://twitter.com/HHeat19 The low life's keep coming out. Way to make your mom proud buddy. Reason I don't do twitter or facebook.
  8. As I said a post up. My opinion is that almost all of the pitchers could be available by opening of spring training in a few weeks. However, the position players should start to fall shortly. What's this "few weeks"? Pitchers and catchers for most teams report a week from today. Brewers pitchers and catchers report next Wednesday. Regular season starts in March this year. Spring training games are just 2 1/2 weeks away. Yup, it sucks. Tell Darvish to push, wipe, flush and skip washing his hands.
  9. First....are you an Indians fan or a Brewer's fan? Shouldn't matter. Baseball Fan, raised on the Tribe in the 70s & 80s. Spent nearly 4 yrs in NW WI during this decade.. Does matter, you took some of my quotes over to the Indians forum a few weeks ago and made me look not so good.
  10. No. And no Facebook either. Too many pricks on both. I don't have patience for people's crap. I am just a diehard Brewer fan. One of my goals in life is to be in Miller park for 1 Brewer World Series game. Just 1.
  11. First....are you an Indians fan or a Brewer's fan?
  12. They CAN make numerous small moves, but they won't. Realize you don't want to waste your nickels on bubblegum when you may need that nickel to buy that candybar. Once the candybar is sold, then you buy your gumballs. Not what I meant but we can go with your analogy. Are they buying a candybar for spring training? They want to! But makes no sense for them to buy now as they know the prices will fall. Right now, the fans are the most impatient.
  13. SP. Are there any moves they feel they CAN make before spring training starts? Are there any moves they feel they WILL make before spring training starts? They CAN make numerous small moves, but they won't. Realize you don't want to waste your nickels on bubblegum when you may need that nickel to buy that candybar. Once the candybar is sold, then you buy your gumballs.
  14. Collusion among Agents/players seems more likely to me than collusion by front offices this offseason. The front offices limiting spending makes sense for so many reasons. These players holding out for the demands reported is extremely aggravating and illogical. What Mr. Stone just said.
  15. No. My opinion is that Jake is a last minute acquisition if needed on opening day due to injuries or total ineffectiveness. Brewer's current targets are better than Odorizzi and will exhaust those options first. Pretty sure he means Arietta ... I think. Arrieta??? If he falls into Brewers perspective price but their not pursuing hard yet. Everyone's waiting on Darvish. Darvish is waiting on Darvish.
  16. It's really a crap shoot right now. Kipnis>Walker right now but that could change. Could be someone totally different as well.

  19. I was told last week that there was high speculation Darvish would sign today. Now, it is really a guessing game. My personal opinion is that most of the FA pitchers will still be available in 2 weeks. WHY? There is no incentive. Unless Darvish signs.
  20. Excellent question. They really do want to upgrade SP big time, but the prices are extremely high (as of right now). Stearns is very cost conscious. If compete means race for the wild card..... yes. Playoffs....no.
  21. Can't comment. Sorry. Whatever the trade is, what would you say are the chances it happens before pitchers/catchers report next week based on what you've heard? 40% but all it takes is a GM to blink.
  22. Can't comment. Sorry.
  23. Salazar has been mentioned.
  24. Just reposting for those that missed it.
