  1. My personal guess is that Archer will be a Brewer and Darvish will not. It stems from what I know and what some don't know.
  2. That is the Brewer's plan. Priority is to get one first.
  3. BTW, meeting was on Darvish direction. Don't know anymore or less.
  4. Brewer's have a decisive plan in place. What people don't realize is the Brewer's have "partial acceptance" trades in a holding pen. (Every team has this) They can act on them whenever they want. In most cases the offer is not ideal. If it was they would act obviously. They can revisit them at any time with the opposing team. However, the trade offer from the opposing team may change literally within an hour. It's not fantasy baseball were you offer a trade and you just wait for it to get accepted. For instance Brewer's offer goes into holding pen. Opposing team may accept Brewer's offer. Offer DOES NOT GO THRU UNTIL BREWER APPROVE FROM THE HOLDING PEN. This allows an offer to be sent but allows the team to work on something else with the same player in the other offer. As you can see this allows a team to take different directions at one time with the one player. The trouble is, the trade can take different directions. A trade maybe accepted, but when the offering team is weighing it's best options, a day later the accepting team can differ because they have a presumed better offer with a different team or just changed their mind. Yu is the holdup in regards to pitching acquisitions in general for all MLB teams. When Yu goes, chips will start to fall, but not that fast and here's why. No one is going to spend their $ on Cobb for example when it could of went to Yu.But you don't know that until YU is off the board. Also, the longer the lesser FA pitchers (Cobb, Lynn, etc) hang out to dry, the more their price goes down. GM's know this. So there maybe a collusion of philosophy amongst GM's even though there is not a true collusion of GM's with verbal or written agreement of each other like some want to believe. Do you think Yu could be holding up the position player side as well? Do you think the dominoes start falling on Monday when Yu finally decides? That's kinda what I'm expecting. And do you know how seriously the brewers remain involved on Yu? My opinion is possibly yes. For instance a team like the Twins may want JD Martinez and Yu. But YU is rated higher. Your going to naturally save your penny's for #1 and not #2. It's the reason Auctions start with higher valued items first, otherwise people would offer Penny's on everything ahead of the big items. Also, if your in competition for JD Martinez with 2 more teams and 1 of the 3 teams gets Darvish. This handicaps a team financially decreasing supply and demand for JD, in turn decreasing the cost for JD Martinez.

The reasons trades are so fluid and dynamic. 1 player can be involved in many different offers at 1 time. Yu is the holdup in regards to pitching acquisitions in general for all MLB teams. 6. Let's go over a few things here. First off, were not Cub fans. That means we don't treat other's like dung and rip on our own fans. We don't call out our player's or coaches when their losing but act like were the greatest fans when we are winning. That's not what Brewer fans are, that's Cubs fans. We have a player who did roids and got caught. He apologized and like civilized fans we forgive, forget and embrace him. In return, he wanted nothing else but to stay in Milwaukee, even when he knew we were in rebuild mode. Because he knew the fans here are special and don't sell out like fans from other teams. Were not dirtbags. Dirtbags are Cubs fans. Listen to 670 the score if you don't believe me. Brewer fans are some of the most respected fans in all of Baseball. AND I told you: 1. Lucroy was going to Cleveland way before it broke. Done. (And that was way before self proclaimed Brewer's world reported it) 2. I reported that a Brewer's trade with an American League team was in the works, then nixed. Crasnick comes on a day later and reports the same. Done 3. I reported Yelich had 95% chance he was coming here 2 days prior to trade. Done. 4. I reported Brewer's had offer to Darvish and Cub's trumped it. 1 days later reported on MLB trade rumors. Done. 5. I reported that Darvish is sitting on his hands playing games with teams. Done 6. I reported Brewer's in active talks in getting Archer. 2 days later Rosenthal reports the same. Done. 7. I reported Brewer's looking to pick up not 1 but.......2 high end starter's a few days ago. Jon Heyman reports the same on twitter today. Done. Anyone give me anymore grief, I pull the plug. If this post gets deleted by moderators. Ditto.
  7. I can be quiet and not say anything going forward. I'm fine with that.
  8. Brewer's FO calling for big meeting later today. My source is not part of it. This all I know at this point.
  9. No one knows if Arrieta is better or not. What we do know is the Brewer's are driving up Darvish's price to a division rival
  10. I don't doubt that. The point is, the Brewers caved. They tried to play hard ball and lost. They blinked first and that doesn't bode well in these or future negotiations. This stuff happens all the time actually. Agents and GM's lie more than car salesman. This I was told by more than a few people in MLB.
  11. As I was told, Darvish's camp was looking for final offers. Brewer's gave theirs and then Cubs came in and exceeded Brewer's offer. I/we assumed that Cubs would get Darvish as their were no other offers coming in....at all. This went on for a few days. Darvish's camp just sat tight and is still sitting. 2 days ago Brewer's came back and matched Cubs. Brewer's don't know yet if Cubs or even other teams have matched. Waiting on Darvish's side now. And the thought from Baseball execs is that if Darvish keeps these teams waiting to much longer that they will A) sign other pitchers decreasing the need for Darvish. B) Teams will withdraw their offers as teams don't want to be jerked around. And because of the latter statement. A Decision is "expected" by Monday. As all teams on Darvish are getting impatient and even a little perturbed. And my source is not aware of where the bidding/numbers/years is at. But..........it's going to be extremely pricey!!! I thought the Brewers gave a hard yes/no deadline and were rebuffed? Doesn't say a whole lot about the Brewers bargaining prowess if they went crawling back with another offer. Welcome to negotiations in the Big Boys Club.
  12. Brewer's are in "very small talk" with a NL team not named the Diamondbacks in regards to acquiring a pitcher. Nothing imminent. Brewer's are "DEAD SET" on acquiring a higher end pitcher to add to the rotation by opening day. (Sort of Obvious) Brewer's want to have 2 higher end pitchers if circumstances allow. 1 expensive and 1 on the cheap. The cheap would have to come via trade for obvious reasons. If not by opening day, the second could come at the trade deadline. Gallardo's plan is to be in the bullpen and make spot starts as needed.

  14. I see the Cubs fans are whining about the Brewers pursuit of Darvish and myself on their message boards. Nothing but dirtballs in that Filthy City. They don't like what I say but spew my words all over their forums. Hey Cub Fans, you don't quote people if you don't believe them. BTW, your finishing third this year behind Milwaukee AND St. Louis.......... per my source.
  15. LOL!!!!!!!!
  16. I'm not Yu. Only Yu knows what Yu wants. However, landing Archer would help.
  17. I'm not Yu. Only Yu knows what Yu wants.
  18. Last week....No. Now, I would say 60/40 Cubs. My opinion.
  19. As in signs with Brewers by Monday or just signs with a team in general by Monday A team in General.
  20. My source says the Brewer's and Cubs are trying to play keep away with each other in regards to Darvish. The Cubs biggest fear is the Brewer's getting Darvish. Both team's don't feel the Dodger's have the $ to get Darvish back. Brewers expecting Darvish to sign by Monday. The Brewer's also want Archer as well as Darvish. Stroman was discussed today.
  21. Took 2nd place in the tournament. So all was good!!!
  22. Asked my source about Darvish. They will get back to me later tonight they said.

  24. Just posted what I know today on the Domingo board. Moderators move stuff if needed. Post #365 on page 19.
  25. But Stearns acquired Brinson and Diaz and we don't know that Brinson is a high strikeout player. It's not that he'd be completely against acquiring/using them. If the Brinson package was the best he could get for Lucroy a while back, he took it hoping that A. Brinson could shake the Ks in the minors or B. he could deal him later, I'd imagine. Or if you have a really good player like Santana it's not like he'd be completely against keeping him. Just prefers to get other types if at all possible. It's like the old saying goes. "Bird in the hand is better than 2 in the bush"
