  1. Not that I've heard.
  2. we are just crazy for something to happen!! Thanks HH!! Nothing on Walker though? Not that I heard. Doesn't mean that their not interested. There is alot more out there that I'm aware of.
  3. Now that is hilarious SRB!!!
  4. He is a respected vet, a leader, bats left handed, decent speed, puts ball into play and not a K monster and most importantly.......he's a stop gap to Hiurea.
  5. Next time I will put "update" apparently. News and everyone thinks the Brewer's just traded for Trout.
  6. First off. I am not BrewerWorld@twitter and this guy is stealing my info and using it as his own. I am not wetbutt guy either like some have thought. Due respect to Brewersfarm! Thanks for recognizing me as HighHeat19. Thanks. Alright, here is what I know. Archer: I mentioned earlier that for Archer it would take Sanatana, Phillips, Burnes and Peralta. That's what the Rays currently want. That's not what Stearn's is going to give them. So relax. Ray's are pressing hard to get max value and willing to wait this out. Darvish: There is speculation by the Brewer's FO and other FO's that the agents are playing their own collusion game with Darvish. In that Darvish is setting the price for at least the rest of the pitching. They don't want Darvish to sign for anything less than a record amount. A low amount in signing could literally have agents and agencies lose literally hundreds of millions across the board. The Brewer's feel that Darvish will sign with someone else, but they are actively after him. However, teams are aware of the price setting by Darvish and realize it could affect their secondary FA targets. Brewer's say they signed Yelich and Cain because they are in win now mode. NO. It is because their analysis department concluded that the money spent on Cain and assets spent on Yelich were below market value per their geeks. Essentially swift store shopping. The moves also looking to bring in FA's and drive ticket sales. I mentioned earlier that the Brewer's discussed Stroman. Now include for sure Michael Fulmer and James Paxton. The purpose is to gauge the Aug 1st trade deadline. And who the Brewer's may need to keep off limits to acquire one of these pitchers if their team falters. Kipnis is of high interest because he will come cheap in terms of assets (dependent upon salary eaten by Crew), fits their analytical departments core aspects, and lines up with some of the Brewer's assets. Essentially a good fit for both teams. Brewer's still want a top SP yet. Arrieta is on their big board, however he has to fall within their "Set" price. One trade is a sizable trade. Stuck on one player. Brewer's are not budging and neither is the other team. Not only is Hader untouchable like I mentioned earlier. Include Arcia in that group. Brewer's are very high on Arcia this year. Thames is available. Sanatana still has the interest of other teams namely the Indians and Red Sox.....also the Rays. Brewer's however are willing to play hardball with Santana. They felt that they did not get enough in return for Khris Davis and will not make that same mistake twice. They think Nottingham could make it, but the window is closing. Brewer's currently looking at adding a serviceable catcher for whatever that's worth. No this isn't breaking news. Some hearts maybe broken, but news nonetheless. I'm not going to get into extreme details about what was listed above. Go Brewers!!!
  7. I have News for you guys. Be back here at 9 p.m. central standard time on this thread. I'm out till 9 bells. Spread the word if you want. See you then.
  8. Nothing new today.
  9. Apparently, this is what opposing GM's and Agents hear when Stearn's puts them on hold. Which he does often I hear.
  10. It will take Burns to get Archer. This I know.
  11. Text from my source this morning: Multiple trades are still in place. One trade is hung up on 1 player. Brewers are waiting for the call. Darvish camp quiet. High on Kipnis.
  12. If they didn't value Brinson, their not going to value Ray. Who is pretty much Brinson light.
  13. I knew the players that were getting sent for Yelich, that's why I said 95%. I know some names that were tossed around for Archer. Where it stands right now. My opinion would be 85%. The Rays tipped their hand yesterday by saying they mentioned to Archer that he will "likely" be a Ray this year. I'm not doubting they said that. But they said "likely".........The Ray's are full of it.
  14. I'm not saying this philosophy is right or wrong. But in short, if your going to pass up Burnes, Ortiz and Woodruff to be part of an Archer trade. Then one of those 3 HAVE to be Archer when it's their time. And by then, the rest of the team maybe in regression. Simply put, if your going to hold onto 3 quarters, they HAVE to turn into a dollar down the road. Otherwise you would be a fool for not taking the full dollar in the first place.
  15. Sounds about right from a pitcher with 4 years of cheap CHEAP control left. That's honestly a huge factor people probably don't consider. You got a guy making less than $9M AAV over the next 4 years to be a potential all-star all 4 years. That would cost you $25M+ a year on the open market. You are talking $70M or so in surplus value. That $70M can do a lot for a franchise. That could easily be adding Cobb right there. Exactly! That steep trade for Archer isn't just for Archer. That trade gets you get Archer AND a Darvish or Arrieta. That is huge. It's really the same concept as Yelich and Cain. Are you insinuating we'd now have more money to spend on the free agent pitcher or the free agent would be more willing to sign? I guess I thought the Yelich / Cain timing was more on our end... Did the Yelich trade sort of talk Cain into signing? I guess I'm not catching how a trade would necessarily be connected to signing a FA deal. The trade first would be ideal, then acquiring the FA. A free agent will be more likely to sign because a team has shown improvement. Also, a trade has just taken up 1 need. Meaning that there is now one less job opening for the remaining FA pitchers. Decreasing the cost of your FA pitcher if you decide to go that route as well. Also remember that the issue in MLB is the lack of great pitching from the fans and owners perspective which increases demand. Let's look at it from the player's perspective. What is demand from players perspective that is short of. To me......that is finding teams who are really trying to win. There are more teams who are rebuilding and a few who want to just make a profit and that's all. The acquisitions of Yelich and Cain are more valuable now than just what they can do on the field. This drive to win could tip a player to Milwaukee who would normally sign elsewhere just because there is a shortage of teams who want to win, just like there is a shortage of TOR pitching.
  16. That is how I feel as well.

  18. I'm a bit baffled by that ask. That's a wild ask, holy mackeral. I'm definitely going to look at other options if tampa doesn't become more reasonable. Yes, it may seem that way but take yourself out of your shoes and put yourself in Tampa's Shoes. Santana can't play D, and had 1 great year last year. Brinson has a tremendous arm but had contact issues the last few years in the minors. Burnes and Peralta are both good but are they future All Stars??? In order for a trade to break even, an ALL STAR MUST come from the group of players sent for the guaranteed ALL STAR. Yes the other players may help in a capacity, but in most cases those are baseline WAR players that are already in the teams minors that have acquired the surplus of players for their ALL STAR. Hence, it's pretty much a given that Yelich will be an All Star. I don't see Harrison or Diaz as an All Star as the just don't make enough contact even against peer pitching. I don't see it with Yamamoto either. Possibly Brinson, but Brinson has contact issues as well and Colorado is like adding Alcohol to the Cool Aid. The Marlins are hoping ONE just One of these players become All Star material. Personally, I see the Brewer's the flat out winner in that trade as I don't see an All Star coming out of that group. And..... is there a guaranteed All Star coming out of Brinson, Santana, Burnes, Peralta?
  19. From what I know, a trade of Santana, Phillips, Burnes and Peralta is what TB want's for Archer. Steep??? Yes. Ticked off at first??? Prolly Then If Archer is an All Star mid July, then would you argue this trade? I wouldn't. The question is, will Archer be an All Star mid July??? Remember he's leaving the American League East for the NL. He will have a tremendous Defense behind him. He has a pitching coach who polished some rocks last year. It could be the trade that makes or breaks Stearns in the casual fan's eyes. But, I think these type of trades are the ones that put you over the top. There's enough history out there to prove that even though it looks like it would lean towards T.B........at first.
  20. I mentioned this earlier. Corbin Burnes is viewed by some teams as the Brewer's #1 Prospect. Even when the Brewer's had Brinson. Last year's HR spike in MLB has really upped the value of anyone who can pitch. Pitching is sought after more than ever due to the HR explosion. Hader is extremely high on most teams lists. The Brewer's feel that they have an emerging All Star on their hands. They do not want to trade Hader at really any cost. The Brewer's are also very high on Hieura. They feel he could be the next Wade Boggs as his hit tool is literally amazing, fits Stearns protype, and plays a position that will be vital for the Brewer's in this next run which could be as soon as 2019.
  21. No problem buddy.
  22. If it is Archer & Arrieta I'd be thrilled. Question: do you think Burnes will still be in the Brewers organization in March? If we got Archer. No.
  23. Yes. Could you handicap who you think the Brewers get via free agency, if it isn’t Darvish? Cobb
  24. Do you think we end up with a second arm? A FA maybe? Yes.
