  1. I don’t see It changing, it’s a money thing and making all the same shirts with some minor format changes is a lot more profitable then having individualized apparel for 30 different teams.
  2. Does anyone else remember when Cubs fans were decent people for the most part. I can remember to the day when they all became a bunch of a**holes. If anybody is wondering what the date was, I’ll give you a hint. It was a fall day in November 2016. And the Cubs loss to the White Sox today was everything they deserved. For the past 2weeks Cubs fans have been talking about how easy it was going to be to go to the South side and sweep the Sox.
  3. At this point in Hader’s career he’s definitely a bullpen guy. If he can add a 3rd pitch to his repertoire he could be a successful starter, but with only 2 pitches batters would start having success against him in their 2nd and 3rd AB’s in later innings.
  4. Miley got out of some tough jams tonight and did a good job holding the Cubs to 2 runs. Of course Schoop made a great play to get Rizzo out at 1st. They could have really opened it up in the 5th. The Bullpen was great tonight and Hader was nasty with 6 K’s.
  5. I could definitely see the MLB allowing them to change Wednesday game to an afternoon start time. Madden was able to convince someone to postpone a game last season against the Brewers due to weather and they never saw a drop of rain.
  6. I've signed up for 2 leagues that are new to me this year. They are Yahoo! Sports Fantasy Baseball and Fox Sports Fantasy Baseball, which they are both free. Last year and several years prior I was apart of a free league through MLB.com. It was just call Fantasy Baseball 2016, but unfortunately they've discontinued the league. Between the 2 leagues, Yahoo and Fox Sports, I'd recommend the Fox Soorts league over Yahoo! The Fox league is much more user friendly. To be honest, I'm not even sure I'll keep the Yahoo team because the format is just that bad. Joining leagues with either is easy because you can join immediately and start drafting a team within 5-10 minutes. Fox Sports http://www.foxsports.com/fantasy/baseball/commissioner/Registration/Landing.aspx Yahoo! Sports https://baseball.fantasysports.yahoo.com/b1/signup
  7. This isn't time just for players to get into game conditioning, they need to come together as a team, familiar with one another before opening day. It's too often you see teams still working things out on the field through April and most often they're the teams you don't see playing October baseball. It's starting pitchers that really need the time and often they're not fully stretched out for the first few starts of the regular season. I get that the season is long and they're away from their families, but that's a sacrifice you make to be in the elite echelon of a MLB players.
  8. We don't have to build the Brewers entire roster from prospects. I haven't looked at their payroll since 2015 but I suspect they have quite a bit of cash available to sign a FA. Of course it needs to be someone who makes sense to the future plans of the team. The Brewers could use a veteran that could lead the young players, a David Ross type of leader
  9. Yeah Braun has his history, but I don't think it means he can't be a leader in the clubhouse. Whether he is or not, I'm unsure, but I see his value to the team in production. He had a good 2016 season with 91 rbi's and 30 HR's. He has some health issues, but he's playing 130+ games a season which I thought was pretty impressive coming off of back surgery. I'm okay with the Brewers trading Braun, but they need to find someone to replace his production
  10. Never understood that decision with Target Field. Not only does it mess with the team schedule for postponed games, but the bigger issue is it costs the franchise $$. Not a lot of fans want freeze their butts off in the stands in April. I remember a couple of seasons ago the Twins cancelled 3 consecutive games because there was 6+ inches of snow in the stadium. And for the fan that says, true fans would go to support their team, I'd say I'm happy to support my team the other 5 months of the season
