  1. Its going to be pretty devastating if the Weimer, Frelick, Turang, Mitchell wave produces little outside of Frankie Montas (whether it be performance, ability to stay healthy, or both). I guess you can dream on Gasser and Ortiz little bit as part of that wave.
  2. I think its telling that posts updating what the other two teams are doing has become pretty commonplace in the game threads. It doesn't feel good being relegated to hoping the other teams suck as much as you do rather than having any belief that your team can do it themselves.
  3. Even counting Churio there really is no one that I trust from at bat to at bat.
  4. Honestly, that should have been a layup improvement at the deadline.
  5. What stands our about this Brewers team that makes them better than a bad Cardinal team?
  6. He's goona have to stay healthy for an extended period before I get there.
  7. At least it was only one today. After Vinny completely trashes the Washington starter and how bad he's been lately we should have zero excuses in this one.
  8. Multiple things can be true. They can be playing poorly and still win games. I think a third thing is true in that the rest of the division isn't all that good either. The question is whether the inconsistent play and lack of any meaningful additions will catch up with them.
  9. Its huge. They have a pretty decent gauntlet through the middle of this month. Every games worth of a lead is a good thing.
  10. I guess but the same arguments were being made for Keuchel, but Keuchel wasn't on the team when they traded for Montas. I'm not a huge stat guy but ti would seem Byrce Wilson could give you similar or better production without the cost. ;
  11. I can agree with that for the most part. The question is whether that improved the team versus what they have and/or what they gave up to get him.
  12. Turang with the glove is a thing of beauty.
  13. In other words, not judging by one game.
  14. And that is the Brewer version of trying at the deadline.
