  1. Didn't you just spend several posts in a recent thread badgering another poster by telling that poster what his post meant? I'm sure you'll have an explanation as to why that was OK. The irony is indeed, thick.
  2. This team makes me enjoy defense.
  3. Hr/9 is about the same. Freddy allows more base runners. Not sure how you get from not trusting Rea to having full faith in Freddy as your game 1 starter. Rea isn't ideal but I go with him.
  4. Well, thank goodness, then, that we have certain posters to remind us how to do it right.
  5. Double thump! Nice to have that power from the nine spo.........oh wait.........
  6. That's probably the biggest issue. They just don't have that big anchor in the lineup.
  7. I'm just glad we have the gloat-y, vitriolic, angry, I told you so posts from the "positive" posters on this board or I'd have no idea how to be a real fan.
  8. I'm guessing Sanchez outperforms there too.
  9. I think I read the other day that league average OPS is around .715. Sanchez is around .735 and Mitchell is around .685. I know which one I'm taking over the other in terms of offensive production. Couldn't care less about batting average.
  10. I don't buy that lineup construction doesn't matter. Having said that, there are two issues. One is that the LHH on this team are not good. Second is the insistence that one of the LHH needs to hit lead off as often as possible.
  11. Nor does it change that, at a minimum, there were questionable managerial decisions and the better pieces of the pen got blasted.
  12. I hope Devin is OK. Incredibly short sighted decision tonight.
  13. Cubs are the Cubs but there is nothing I love more than demoralizing the Cards. You just know they were seriously considering this their last gasp series.
