I'll agree with you on all of these. I watched Pennington pitch last year, and I would compare him to Tyler Thornburg. Both are smaller guys who can hit mid-90's easily.

Thanks for the feed back! Being born in 1992, this project has helped me learn more about the past players. I've learned about the sad stories of Fuentes and Thomas. I was also surprised by the amount of players who literally only played one game for the team! Too bad he doesn't speak a lick of English. You'd think that having signed so young, he would want to put in the effort to learn the language.

As a Timber Rattler season ticket holder, I got to see a lot of him in person this past season.....until he got called down. Very low energy. Looked completely lost at the plate. Tall, lanky guy with average glove, limited range at SS. Could be a better fit at 3B. Strong, slightly inaccurate arm. However, I still believe he as age on his side. Still very young. Could still pan out.

I think he has a ceiling of a 4th outfielder. I hope I'm wrong.

In person, I see huge difference in his approach at the plate this season compared to last. Even though he's had some ugly AB's this season, they are far and few between compared to last season. He doesn't look completely lost at the plate anymore. Not sure if his speed as changed or not. Has made playing CF this season look easy with his long strides, and has made some pretty impressive diving plays. The arm strength is still there, however, his accuracy is nothing to write home about.

Drossner was talking to a guy sitting next to me last night at the T-Rats game, and it sounded like he will only miss one start. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing Pennington and/or Kirby activated since Diplan had a rough night.

I think one of the main reasons why his name isn't mentioned more is due to the fact he missed the majority of last season due to injury. I am a season ticket holder for the Timber Rattler's so I've seen a bit of him last year and all of this season so far. I would rank him as the most skilled hitter on the T-Rats this year (Not saying much), but I also really like is fielding ability at 2B...made a very athletic play on Sunday that robbed a base hit that he then turned into a double play. He's no Isan Diaz, but I bet he bats around .275 with 10 HRs. I would have him in the 35-40 range right now, with the potential to break into the top 30 in a year or two.
