  1. Is this for one game like how the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers changed their name to the Wisconsin Brats earlier this year, or like permanent?
  2. Any chance Peralta pitches for Wisconsin at all? I hear he will be with the team this weekend in South Bend.
  3. I'm guessing you're a fellow OOTPer as well! I'd be interested in this.
  4. He'll be there Friday and Saturday. Super nice guy!
  5. It's still very early, but as of now I'd make this trade again in a heartbeat. Brinson and Harrison's K-rates are too high for my liking. I've been a huge fan of Yamamoto ever since I saw him pitch with the Timber Rattlers. He's the player that I will miss the most.
  6. I'm guessing the McInerney move was to fill the somewhat unexpected release of Ronnie Gideon. I feel like they gave up on him too soon.
  7. Wisconsin OF Demi Orimoloye has been notified that he will be called up to Carolina after tonight’s All-Star game.
  8. I wouldn't necessarily call that slash "struggling." Being an 18 y/o playing in a new country for the first time I don't have super high expectations. This is really the first scouting report I've seen on him and he seems like someone to watch for. Thanks for getting him on my radar!
  9. Do you think they will bump Orimoloye or Segovia up?
  10. Expect Wisconsin P Braulio Ortiz to get called up to Carolina tomorrow.
  11. Nice to see Lara producing at the plate finally. What surprises me most when watching him play is his lack of speed on the bases.
  12. Kyle Wren-type player, minus Wren's "power". Might be a slightly about average defender. Has mainly played LF with some CF. Arm is nothing special. Seems to have decent base stealing ability. Most likely has a ceiling of an AAAA player or fringe backup OF. That said, he looks way more comfortable at the plate this year compared to last. Does have more extra base hits this season, but I haven't really seen any hits that made me go WOW. Super nice guy.
  13. Devin Hairston is warming up with Wisconsin before tonight’s game. I believe he’s been in extended spring training.
  14. One under the radar guy I can see being a top 30 guy in the future is P Michael Peterson. In 11.2 innings so far he has only given up two walks while striking out 13 batters and allowing no runs. On the lighter side for being 6'7" but he reached 95 mph last night, and was consistently in the 92-94 mph range. I also absolutely love his intensity on the mound as well. Has he caught anyone else's eye?
  15. As long as my girlfriend doesn't get hold of this info I'm cool with it.
  16. Hey All, If anyone needs anything signed for any of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers players this season I can help out. Willing to take any item, bats, balls, cards, photos, etc. All items will cost a reasonable fee. I will also take items for visiting teams. Either comment here, or message me if you're interested. Thanks! Riley
  17. Win-Loss Record: 87-75 Playoffs: No Highest Playoff Level Achieved: N/A All Star Game Representative(s): Yelich, Josh Hader Offensive Player of the Year: Lorenzo Cain Pitcher of the Year: Brandon Woodruff Most Surprising Player: Jonathan Villar Most Disappointing Player: Chase Anderson, Eric Thames Rookie of the Year: Brandon Woodruff
  18. 1. 2B Kestion Hiura-It's crazy how advanced his bat his. Great showing so far this spring. Fast riser. 2. P Corbin Burnes-Not over powering or flashy. Just plain knows how to pitch. 3. OF Tristen Lutz-Glad I'm the only one to see a little Mike Trout in him. 4. P Brandon Woodruff-Solid #3. 5. P Taylor Williams-Great stuff. Looks like a potential mainstay in the pen starting this year. 6. 3B Lucas Erceg-Fun player to watch and root for after reading his story of getting to pro baseball. S 7. P Luis Ortiz-Should bounce back after a down year last season. 8. P Freddy Peralta-Possibly over hyped? Another great year should solidify him as a top prospect. 9. OF Brett Phillips-Great defender. Could be great if his small sample size in MIL is legit. 10. P Adrian Houser-Excited to see him pitch a full season. 11. OF Troy Stokes Jr.-Big things come in small packages. 12. OF Trent Grisham-Gets on base. Nothing special other than that. 13. P Josh Pennington-Poor mans Tyler Thornburg 14. P Caden Lemons-Tall, lanky and throws heat. Great long term project and will be developed slowly. 15. 1B Jake Gatewood-Still have faith his bat will come around. Will be given a lot of opportunities due to the lack of 1B prospects. 16. P Kodi Medeiros-Move to the bullpen could help his career. 17. P Phil Bickford-He's back! If he can stay on the field, he could be a fast mover. 18. C KJ Harrison-Excited to see what he can do in his full season debut. 19. P Cody Ponce-Improving, but still average. 20. C Jacob Nottingham-Maybe this is the year? 21. P Trey Supak-Big bodied pitcher who shown flashes but needs to be more consistent 22. C Mario Feliciano-Aggressively placed last season and held his own. 23. P Marcos Diplan-Small frame may force him into relief role 24. OF Corey Ray-Still young, but losing hope. 25. IF Mauricio Dubon-Career UTL player. 26. P Jorge Lopez 27. P Carlos Herrera 28. P Brendan Murphy 29. OF Larry Ernesto 30. 3B Weston Wilson
  19. Brown, Supak, and Owenby at Carolina aren't bad, either. Don't forget about under-the-radar prospect Thomas Jankins. Not flashy, but had a solid season in Wisconsin.
  20. This is awesome! I also do the same thing, but have never posted my predictions. Here are a few of my notes: P Andrew Vernon will be out the entire year (TJ surgery) C Mario Feliciano-Still extremely young. Showed a lot of growth last season, but could use another season at LoA. However, depends on where Payton Henry is placed. If Wisconsin does have Feliciano, Harrison, and Henry its roster, I wouldn't be surprised if Mario plays some LF. C Nathan Rodriguez advances to Carolina P Josh Pennington will start in Carolina IF Pat McInerney will start at Wisconsin OF Jay Feliciano will start at Wisconsin C Natanael Mejia morphs into a coaching role (see Fidel Pena)
  21. Looks like you're right! That'll be an interesting decision to make for himself.
  22. I'm not sure, but I believe I read that Choi can opt out if he's not in the Majors. This article does a good job at listing which players can opt out. Based on this article, it looks like he doesn't have an opt out...but ya never know! https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2018/02/tracking-non-roster-invitees-with-big-league-experience.html
  23. I don't think the Brewers have to cut Choi, as he would be good depth to have at Colorado Springs. Also, a good first half with inflated AAA numbers could be decent trade bait.
  24. I've seen a couple others say he's looked good. I haven't seen his every AB but of the 4 or 5 I have seen he hasn't even fouled a pitch off yet. Just looks super overmatched with no approach other than "swing at every pitch and hope I hit it." Even though the results this spring have been less than stellar, watching him last year with the T-Rats I have no doubt his ability at the plate is the real deal.
  25. I tweeted at him after seeing this topic. He replied saying that he is still with the organization and is working on coming back from TJ. He is projected to return during the final weeks of spring training.
