  1. So Bledsoe just gets bodied out of bounds and Lowry runs into Brogdon and they swallow the whistle on our end, but call it on Brogdon?
  2. Good point...but they're not really voluntary. Especially for a under-performing 2nd round pick who has struggled because he has been out of position when given a shot.
  3. Not a fan of Gifs in general, but I love this one. I did not know the Steve Miller Band was from Milwaukee though. Doesn't really have the same type of impact though.
  4. Other than when he gets a rebound, I'd agree. Give it to the better ball handlers. I'd say post him up a bit more and let him work out of there, but that's not really his bread and butter. Him taking it on a rebound and pushing it is fine, him taking it in the half court and trying to take on a wall of Raptors has not been productive. Didn't see yet if Bud changed up the starting rotation. Half hoping he doesn't unless he just adds Brogdon and takes out Mirotic. He can still have a quick hook for Bled with Hill, but you don't want to totally destroy Bledsoe's confidence. It'd sure be nice to see him get going early tonight. A couple tough layup's in transition could lead to him loosening up and hitting a few shots later on.
  5. He probably thinks he's wasting his career and not being used properly with the Packers. He is a extremely talented athlete. So I can understand his frustration. But if you're not in place to make plays, that's why you need to spend 40 million dollars and trade up in the 1st round to acquire two starting safety's after using a 2nd round pick on one.
  6. That'd be great. If he does, the Bucks almost certainly win. I don't know that this will be dispelled though until we have to win a close playoff game with him looking like a competent starting PG. I think the Bucks win by 10+ tomorrow. There's no doubt that him helping out a lot more offensively would be a game changer for us given how important he is defensively. Not sure how we could hope to handle GSW without him playing D on Steph and also giving us something on offense.
  7. They're daring him to shoot. He isn't Steph, but he knocks down wide open 3's in the regular season and he's also fantastic at finishing at the rim. For whatever reason he's even started struggling finishing at the rim by trying to make some ridiculously wild shots instead of forcing contact and just going up strong.
  8. It's as if you're weighing regular season pressure the same as the post-season. In the one real competitive series we've played, Bledsoe has been absolutely awful. His shots have been way off. It's not like his shots just aren't falling, he's missing badly, he's playing out of control. Middleton looks the same as he did in the regular season. You can throw whatever stats you want up there, this goes deeper than just shooting also. He's playing poorly. He's pressing and he's playing out of control. Giannis is as well to a degree, but nothing like Bledsoe.
  9. The evidence is in just watching the game. That wasn't the only stat used, but either way, it's pretty obvious just from watching the games that he's choking. He has no plan when driving and he's not shooting in rhythm at all. He's looked terrible on offense for us and we need a ball handler who can handle the tight moments. Brogdon or Hill have to be on the court handling the ball. Bledsoe has been killing us. Of course there's hope he'll turn it around, but I think it'd take some easy layups. Even when he's going to the basket, he's not putting the ball up as strong as he did during the regular season of the first two rounds.
  10. I think Anderson is a guy who profiles much better as a starter than a reliever. He just gives up too many HR's. You can deal with that as a starter if he's your #4 and he's not walking guys, but as a guy you're hoping is a big time weapon out of the pen, it just doesn't work. As for Burnes, I think we all love Burnes. But at some point you have to try and get him right. He's hurting the team right now.
  11. The guys going to Japan are almost certainly going to be guys who would get big signing bonuses and not be affected that much by low minor league salaries. I would bet the next CBA will contain some sort of new rule that will make more guys doing this nearly impossible. I doubt this is going to be a major focal point. And I don't know how they could really do this. If they did, I think they'd be solving a non-existent problem. I also just can't really think of a realistic way they could try to do this. They already have a rule that you have to be in a professional league recognized by MLB for 6 years before you can become a FA. Isn't that the solution right there? That's enough to deter most people from doing this. That's why the one guy doing this is a major story. It would have been one thing if Strausburg and Harper went over to Japan. This is a guy who's projected to go in the 2nd round this year and who very few people would care about if he wasn't doing this.
  12. I assume that you're given up on Corbin Burnes then as well, right? If you're willing to declare after two very productive seasons, his first two seasons getting regular playing time, that Jesus is so awful that he provides absolutely nothing to the team, then surely you must believe that Corbin Burnes is done. We might as well just dump both of them.
  13. Aguilar has a .424 OBP in May. He's got two years of production. Doubt we're going to put our resources into another 1B only player and give up on a guy like Aguilar. Especially when we have bigger needs, ie, BP arms.
  14. That was actually far more likely to be a major game changer. You only go for one year and you are able to play yourself in a enormous market. So if you're a star like Zion, that would make sense. And yet you still don't see it. So I see that much less reason to see it in MLB.
  15. Doubt it. I don't think many kids want to move to Japan to maybe someday get a chance to play in the Big Leagues. Also, it'll take 6 years to find out if he made the right decision. Or at least if he made a decision that'll pay off in a big way. I think the whole "Stewart revolutionizing the draft," stuff is way overblown.
  16. Trying to finish off the ump? That had me chuckling pretty good! Umps aren't going to want anything to do with the Brewers pretty soon.
  17. Wow....unbelievable. How does Grandal miss that so badly? Edit-I know he was obviously looking for a curveball and got crossed up, but you still don't normally see a guy miss the ball by that much.
  18. There's almost no evidence to suggest this is true.
  19. I had a friend who worked for Gruber. She said going into it she would only stay there for 3 years. She made it just under 3. Apparently he comes off better on TV than in person. So that's saying something.
  20. Shot 35 and 41% in a 23 point loss and a 10 pt win against the Bucks. The Bucks shot 25 and 18% in those two games, interestingly enough. 9/35 and 7/39, ouch. The "3 pt defense" thing is just lazy surface level analysis. You sound like the people who turn on a Packer game and just say the team needs someone like Ray Nitschke to solve their problems. That is not even on the radar of the Bucks issues right now. Their offense isn't gelling at all in large part due to the Raps. There are a few problems, but most of them are on offense. And an overall lack of effort tonight. You beat me to it. Giannis and this Bucks team will not get out worked again. I don't believe there's any chance. I'm done for now. This "3 point thing," is gonna get too annoying.
  21. Toronto 15/42 from 3 for 35.7 pct 10/32 for 31.3 pct 14/41 for 34.1 pct Won the 1st game by getting 15 more rebounds and basically equal in turnovers. Won by 22 in the 2nd game by getting 14 more rebounds and just 7 turnovers. Lost the 3rd game getting out rebounded by 4. Explain to me how it comes down to 3 point shooting? Not you Snapper, those who would have you believe it's the defensive philosophy. But again, the Raptors were down 2-0 after being bounced by 22(25 before a late 3). That's why home court is so important.
  22. Or dribbling into traffic and bouncing the ball off their knees and giving the Raptors a run out. It's got almost nothing to do with our 3 point defense OTHER than our D as a whole has not been good. Bad decision making, not getting the offensive board and not getting the 50/50 balls. The Raptors aren't a joke though. They've got one of the greatest defensive players in recent memory who's hit like 35 of 36 FT's and can actually man up on Giannis. It shouldn't be easy. But we go back to Milwaukee and we should get rolling again.
  23. We somehow thought it'd be easy after the Boston series and the game 2 blowout. We stomped the Raptors at home in game 2 by 20+ as well. Three game series going back to Milwaukee. I'm still confident. Bucks can't play with this level of effort or energy though.
  24. Yeah, if the Bucks defend the three like this, they'll lose every game by 30. The Raptors have hit 35 pct of the threes. If you think THAT is the primary problem, you're not watching the same game I am.
