  1. If no significant trades are made, I'd like to see Woodruff replace Geurra(sent to minors to work things out), Burnes given a shot to take Garza's rotation spot(Garza back to the pen) and Wang and/or Ortiz possibly, to be brought up for more bullpen help. If Villar continues to struggle, send him to AAA(if option is available), and start Sogard at 2nd again when healthy. Imo Brinson also should be brought up again at some point. Maybe try to trade Broxton for prospects instead of him as a piece of a trade offer for pitching, to make room for Brinson. Lewis deserves an honest chance to start consistently
  2. I've always wondered the same thing. Could be a good assumption. As long as the other team would want OF'S and MIF'S in return.
  3. Jericho. Going by your comments, it's seems like you think DS would then need to trade for 2 starters instead of only 1 ( Anderson being the only 1 you think will continue pitching at the level he has this season) to possibly make the rotation worthy of a deep run in the playoffs. Making the rotation that deep, would likely mean trading for the top 2 starters in DS eyes. Depending on who would DS would trade for, that could easily gut the farm system bigtime. Imo, trading that many top prospects would be an extreme overreaction for this season. I think just by bolstering the pen with a couple arms, rather than starter(s)would make a much stronger impact for the Crew this year for a serious chance in the playoffs
  4. Have you seen the Crews record? They're not losing even without Gray or Quintana. And of course I don't want them to lose. If you want Gray or Quintana, then DS will have to give up more than the prospects you mentioned. If they would except that offer then I'm all for it. There's no chance they would except that offer though. DS could trade a couple top prospects and the farm system would still be loaded. I'd be ok with giving a decent haul for Quintana but not for Gray. Gray is way too injury prone
  5. DS, PLEASE don't offer a trade package like that unless it would be for Kershaw! Trade for a couple bullpen arms (preferably a LH and RH), maybe a mid-level type starter, so the core prospects in the minors can stay together. I think he'll know better to give those 3 up for either of those pitchers
  6. If DS called the Dodgers or Angels, and offered a trade package like that for Kershaw or Trout, it wouldn't surprise me if they would laugh, and tell him to never call them again about a trade. Lol That would be an EXTREME low ball offer for players of their caliber.
