  1. If I need money, that last person I'm calling is Gruber. Secondary commercials would be Carsoup, Menards, and Tubbie from the Dells.
  2. I don't think so. I think he is just trying to be too perfect right now. Pretty understandable being his first major league inning. Putting up that 0 will hopefully settle him down a bit.
  3. Cubbies lose, making that 3 in a row. Let's bring it back to .5 game
  4. Can you blame them??? He doesn't play for the Yankees or Red Sox.
  5. Hiura's elbow injury slowed him down a bit. There is no way that he would have started in the AZL league if he hadn't had it. I would think he'd be in Carolina right now, so if his bat is that advanced and his defense is serviceable, I don't think it's a strecth to think he'll be on the Brewers 2019 team by June.
  6. I would imagine it will take more than one rehab start. He's been out for 5-6 weeks. One game, see how he feels after and another to see how his body feels to a regular schedule.
  7. So much focus is on Corey's hitting stats. Don't forget the guy is a valuable fielder and base runner too. Plus by all accounts, he is a great teammate and competitor. This is still a fantastic prospect. Nope, uh-uh, no way jose. Until that batting average gets up to some arbitrary number that I deem acceptable, it is a stone cold fact that Ray is a complete and total bust. Since July 17th (61 AB), good Corey Ray: AVG .295 OBP .376 and bad Corey Ray 20K in those 61 AB. I still think he will be a very good player, but he needs to lower his K rate. I think, if he can be healthy all year, Ray will show his promise next year. What I found interesting is that Ray (.219 vs .281), Diaz (.204 vs .259) , and Erceg (.235 vs .256) all have better AVG against left-handed pitching
  8. Eloy Jimenez since being traded to the White Sox: .343 Batting Average, .405 On-Base %. .657 Slugging (end/small sample alert) #Fleeced. But if I were a gm (still waiting on the calls), I need a top teir rotation piece to be forking up Eloy. I don't see Quintana as beeing that.
  9. I'd Imagine we'll be seeing Susac up and Brinson down as well.
  10. Tom‏ Haudricourt via Twitter #Brewers call up RHP Brandon Woodruff. Bandy has fractured rib. 4:53 PM - 3 Aug 2017
  11. Perhaps it will feel like a Spring Training game and that will take the pressure off them.
  12. 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings should result in more than two runs.
  13. Did Alfonso Soriano with the Nationals hit leadoff?
  14. How exactly can he prove it without being given the rotation spot? His stuff, control, mentality, success the past 2yrs deem him more then worthy of a rotation spot. He's going to be given a spot. That means he's being given an opportunity to succeed. Whether he keeps it for years down the road is up to him but he's going to be given a spot. Agreed. Woodruff has nothing else to prove in the minors, especially out in Colorado Springs. He's more MLB ready than Hader is at this point. Give him the experience in the majors and let him build off of it for next year.
  15. How does Davie Nelson have a job? Yesterday was Jeffery Jeffress and tonight is Bruce Suter.
  16. Pretty much the 9th inning anyone would have expected...
