    Bob Nightengale @BNightengale Colorado #Rockies offer Nolan Arenado a record-breaking contract for average annual salary. Nolan Arenado has been offered an extension of 7 years and 245 million.

    FWIW, the Bucks seem to be sending an offer to the Pelicans for Anthony Davis. I don't know how they could possibly pull this off, but I like the aggression. Good ole' Gery Woelfel says they are willing to offer anyone that isn't named Giannis.

    It really is amazing. There have been multiple games where the bench in the 4th have given up 20+ point leads and they only win by 10 points. The Memphis game would be the most recent example. The only this I miss about Jason Kidd was having the ability to watch Giannis for 38+ minutes a game

    They have Taylor Ward (3b) who broke out last year in the minors. I have no idea if they think that can translate to big league success, but he may be the current option along with La Stella. Angels haven't had a 3rd baseman since Troy Glaus (thanks Dallas McPherson and Brandon Wood).

    It's the 2nd naming of the stadium, as many people have indicated it will always be "Miller Park" to them so there is often a hit with the 2nd naming as the new name is often ignored. It's very likely after the next naming contract for the Bucks that they get a lot less than the initial naming rights... Ah, that makes some sense. I would also add all of the extra concerts and events the an arena will hold in comparison to the few concerts the Miller Park holds. Fiserv Forum can be used 365 days a year.

    It would be awesome to watch Trout and Harper, but I don't see it happening. If that dang Pujols contract wasn't weighing them down for another 3 year, then perhaps. I think they will stick with Upton, Trout, and Calhoun as their OF'ers.

    I don’t care that Miller isn’t the sponsor. The nice thing about Miller park and Bradley Center were they were corporate names that didn’t sound like one. Fiserv Forum is ok. American Family Field screams corporate sponsor. In general if the corporate name is more than one word, I’m not ok with it. Seeing that Neuroscience Group Field at Fox Cities Stadium is home of the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, I guess it could be worse.

    They don't even have Duvall. He was busy stealing Gold gloves from Cain in Atlanta. The Reds were pretty thin in the outfield.

    Not sure I see the Alex Wood Zach Davies similarities. I would say this makes the Reds better. They have also been in talks with players like Kluber and Realmuto, so they may not be done. I would consider Puig to be an upgrade for them, although maybe not a huge upgrade. I would be more worried about his clubhouse presence than anything though. Overall, it makes the Reds better and I don't think they're done making improvements to the team. They have been linked to players like Kluber and Realmuto earlier in the off season. They may be no easy games in the NL Central this year.

    The bolded part is correct as long as the school applies you for a different scholarship (can't think of the name of it right now). If I had to guess, he came back and played before he was truly ready. Supposedly he only had one concussion this year, and the other times were symptoms from that concussion. If it is taking him this long to recover from one concussion, he needs to seriously think about hanging up the cleats.

    Not a bad #4/5 in a rotation. That age, price, and history, I don't think I would've gone beyond 1 year though.

    Can't imagine there would be anything against that. If I were Tulo, I would be looking at the most guaranteed money.
