  1. The Brewers have been connected to everyone possible so I'm taking this with a grain of salt. Having said that, Harvey would be a stupid move if we gave up anything of legitimate value. You know who we WEREN'T connected to? Soria... This is a very good take!
  2. Saying Cubs would take on $4M of $14?? That seems a bit extreme and desperate from the Rangers end.
  3. I had that same reaction. Just reading a post saying Perez and I got too excited. Honest mistake. I saw Perez and was hoping they just spelled Braun incorrectly. this is one of my favorite posts!

  6. Bingo. Winning with 10 million other reasons to stay.
  7. Never bad to add pitcher with closing experience! Love it! Keep the phone lines open David!
  8. The amount of rope that Stearns has, I'm not sure that much rope exists... This!
  9. 1 and 3-9 has been pretty bad lately. I’m confused. Are you saying Yelich, who is in the 3 hole, has been bad lately?
  10. This is definition of by the book...no way he gets a save so they pitch the ninth. It’s a thing every brewers manager has done for the last 10 years.
  11. Nope, the 9th is "Corey's inning." Sad that Counsel can be a “manual manager”. Open up the book and see what I’m supposed to do here.
  12. Is there anyone of the sinking ship that is the Nationals that would be worth while? Murphy has been injured and has a negative war but has been good for the past few years. This is assuming they’d be selling as they should be.
  13. Stearns has done a great job. Fans are the ones that have elevated the expectations. He took on contracts/players (Braun) that really limit some options. At the end of the day, it’s a very flawed roster. Even with all of Craig’s questionable lineups and in game management, he’s done a good job maximizing some players talents. He’d be the one I’d question if he can get up to the next level. I have zero problems with Stearns, before our 7 game slid, looking at our record and roster and saying, “we are overachieving in many ways and don’t really have the roster to compete for a championship. Even if we get Machado/DeGrom, we don’t have it this year.” I’d be all for that. Assess your roster unbiased. I think all along 2019-2020 were his targets for going for championships. We shall see! Ride the wave. Always remember, the Brewers never panic like we do.
  14. Phillips two run bomb to end it. Call it a night. I may be his lone supporter.
  15. Why, he hasn't earned a call back yet, and from the looks of things, he still isn't right... Free Phillips!
  16. Why does Broxton continue to get at bats over Phillips?? This is becoming a joke with Broxton and his .100 avg. at least there is some better upside with Phillips. Annoying how they have used him.
  17. Curious as to what everyone thinks it’d take to get Nolan. Signed thru next year but at a hefty price, $17 million this year. He’s a legit middle of order bat that has been vocal as of late about playing for a winner. Is there any chance he could be a play? Not overly impressed by Shaw even with his homers. I would say he’s a better all around player than machado and is signed for another year.
  18. Arcia has a chance to be one of the biggest mid season additions possible for this team.
  19. Brewers are 7-9 since Arcia went down to AAA on July 1. Maybe he is the spark plug and energy guy they missed. Team looked to be enjoying themselves more.
