  1. We do all that, are we still going to be able to catch the Cubs now? There are also 2 wildcard spots available Good space out in left field for another Wild Card Banner....I mean it’s been ten years since the last one.
  2. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2017/12/cubs-nearing-deal-with-brandon-morrow.html Crazy what these relievers are getting paid. Not sure on length but $10 a year is still steep.
  3. I would much rather explore Jose Urena’s availablity. Maybe pair him with a contract to help with prospects. 26 and controllable til 2022. Potential is just being grasped by him last year.
  4. Any thoughts on Bryan Shaw to solidify the bullpen?
  5. If Abreu is truly available this should be a move Stearns goes hard after! .300 hitter with 30+ homers, 4+ WAR every year. That’d help our offense emmensly! As much as I like Shaw, we can do better for our clean up hitter. Let’s get this hot stove heated up!
  6. At what point do these players become available? Let’s go get em Stearns!!
  7. Please go after this guy over wasting on Arrieta!
  8. Joey Votto putting together a hall of fame career for a rebuilding team. His career stats are pretty remarkable.
  9. That’s a good call out Adam! Sometimes we lose thatpersepcetve and want athletes to have a perfect response all the time. I’m definitely guilty of that.
  10. “I'm not going to sit here and say we're going to compete for the playoffs this year," Lucroy said in a telephone interview Tuesday afternoon while running errands back home in Lafayette, La. "If I did that, you'd call me a liar. I'd lose credibility and respect. "I want to win and I don't see us winning in the foreseeable future. I want to go to a World Series. That's what all players want. Rebuilding is not a lot of fun for any veteran guys.” I can never get this quote out of my head when it comes to Lucroy. Did the team this year in spring training have this mindset? Yet we were competitive til the last game of the year. To me, Lucroy is always a “me first” type player, and wouldn’t want him back.
  11. What are the chances the Brewers make a hard play for this young man? 23 years of age and can really throw the ball. He may need a little time fine tuning in the pro’s, but has incredible upside. Other than the $20 million fee to get him (always easier when it’s not my money), he would be rather inexpensive. When i look at his highlights, I see a future ace. Justin Verlander type. Not to mention we could have a little fun with some two way action. Goes along with Sterns approach to find talent in all places, even some we don’t expect. Interested to see what everyone’s thoughts were on him!
