  1. Frelick has started 13 of the 16 games he’s been up for and played in all of them. For somebody who knows so much more than everybody else, how is that considered platooning?
  2. What in the strawman are you talking about?
  3. It really shouldn’t amaze you. They are hiring/signing people that fit the “Cardinals Way” after all.
  4. They said he’ll be in the office Sunday thru Thursday and home in Madison on the weekends.
  5. Has a higher OPS and more than half the bWAR of Elly De La Cruz (before todays game) in about 50% of the ABs. Hard to believe based on the EDLC hype. Not that it is expect that to continue that way, but nice to see for Monasterio.
  6. On top of that, they were chasing only 1 team (Braves) who went 9-18 in September, losing their last 5 games and 8 of their last 10. As much as the Cardinals did to come back and take that playoff spot, the Braves equaled, if not exceeded, it with their collapse.
  7. That 2011 team is an outlier. Repeatedly using it isn’t helping your argument the way you think it is.
  8. With the expanded playoffs it should be an expectation that the Badgers are in it every few years or they’ve taken a tumble as a program. Since 1998, if they would have had the expanded playoffs instead of the BCS, the Badgers have had 8 teams finish in the top 12 - so roughly every three years on average.
  9. That is absolutely a reasonable take that he left the Brewers with the intention of taking the Mets POBO job. That isn’t the conspiracy theory that brewers888 has been pushing the last year nor what they are crowing about being right about now.
  10. I suppose if you prefer somebody with only 2.6 bWAR over the last 3 years instead of 9.1 bWAR that makes sense.
  11. Two more commits from yesterday and today.
  12. Another lineman from PA.
  13. Who were all of the meaningful free agents who came to Green Bay because of Rodgers?
  14. I was gonna reply with the exact same thing. Had a conversation with a buddy up in GB and he’s pretty stoked about it. We both agreed that it could be 70’s and gorgeous, a blizzard or anything in between that time of year.
  15. Bucks are reportedly down to three:
  16. Packers adding a safety.
  17. Does it build some good faith with Love by giving him some extra coin if he plays well and meets incentives? Maybe helps with an extension in the future vs just picking up the option? Also give the Packers an added bonus of lower guaranteed money if he sucks. So there are benefits to both sides.
  18. Are you sure it isn’t just your connection? I’m not having any unusual load times for the threads with the videos and tweets they are posting. I’m also enjoying the draft pick info so I don’t have to go sift through twitter on my own.
  19. I’m guessing they were hoping to steal game 3 in Miami without him and then have Giannis suit up with a few more days of rest for game 5 in Milwaukee with the series, at worst, tied 2-2.
  20. Why? The Trash Pandas is a sweet name.
  21. Because that is totally an apples to apples comparison. Also, if the players don’t like it - negotiate it out of the CBA. Sucks for Cepheus and the other players, but if I was set to make $1m, pretty sure I could also avoid betting on NFL games or making bets in team facilities.
  22. Looks like it’s done?
  23. This is ridiculous.
  24. Looks like Giannis was upgraded to questionable. I’d imagine that bodes well for him playing tonight.
  25. You’re right on the NFL maths. I was calculating the games played for all the other leagues manually so but googled how many total NFL games, added the playoff games and then divided by two on auto-pilot. I’ll be honest that I wasn’t expecting the numbers to be where they were overall. I figured there were more player ejections in baseball but managers make up a significant majority of those. I don’t disagree about umps having thin skin especially when a player tosses a bat or helmet and gets rung for “disrespecting the ump” or whatever BS. However, if an NBA player was yelling at a ref like baseball players/managers do at umps for most ejections they would get a double T and an ejection. A running clock and the game not stopping for you to yell at a ref probably plays some role in why you see it less in football.
