  1. Why do they need to look like a contender now? Stack W’s and move on to the next week.
  2. Well… this hasn’t been an optimal start.
  3. Bahktiari practiced on Wednesday and Friday and is not listed on the injury report this week. Alexander is listed as questionable. Packers are favored by 9.5, so hopefully we have a relatively stress-free game today.
  4. This is what I frequently do in my Yahoo league. I believe it also works when they are suspended.
  5. Their points increased from 365 to 476, so it had more to do with Arkansas and Florida moving up than what the Badgers did against ISU. They moved up 2 spots in the coaches poll with a similar increase in points (369 to 495) but Florida didn’t pass us and Oregon/Texas fell below us. BTW, I’m not sure how somebody actually gave Texas a #1 vote in the Preseason poll.
  6. Holy overreaction Batman! This place has always had a zero tolerance for anything that was slightly political - even when Brian was running it. Closing that thread had nothing to do with chilling conversation and, as was already stated, somebody is more than welcome to open a new thread about it. Taking your ball and going home because you didn’t like the moderation (that has been essentially the same as forever) seems a little unnecessary.
  7. The Badgers would have made it in 3 of the last 6 years if it had been in place - I’d take that. There will also be plenty of chances for teams other than Alabama/Georgia/OSU/Clemson to win games and make it to the semis/finals/win it all. Those teams are definitely at the top of the list but it’s not like they are unbeatable. The Badgers have had games against OSU where they have been competitive and should have won a few years ago in the B1G Championship Game. OSU has lost multiple games in 3 of the last 6 years. Last year, Bama squeaked by a 6-7 Florida team and lost to a 8-4 Texas A&M team. They didn’t even make the playoffs in 2019. Georgia has lost multiple games every season for the last 10+ years except last year and that include multiple 5 loss seasons. Clemson was in the Cheez-It Bowl last year with 3 losses.
  8. No surprise. Axman59 was railing on Cain for opting out when it was announced that he was DFA’d.
  9. If it is true that we have a poor roster that has played below their talent level and isn’t working, I’d say it is pretty impressive that Counsell has them 9 games over .500 this late in the season.
  10. Pretty hot take for a player you don’t even know their name. Obviously they like Walker better and feel they’ve got a good chance to get Jones to the PS.
  11. Tell us you weren’t a fan of the Brewers in the 90’s/early 00’s without telling us you weren’t a fan of those teams. Seriously though, Counsell has earned far more leash than a season where we don’t win the division or even if we wouldn’t make the playoffs - he’s not getting fired this year unless there is some type of scandal.
  12. I mean, that is what the Trade Rumors/Proposal board is for… to discuss things about trades even if they are a fantasy. I doubt anybody really thought the Brewers had a real chance of getting Soto. And yes, I know this is no longer on the Trade Rumor/Proposal board but that is where a majority of the discussions that amused you took place.
  13. https://twitter.com/JeffPassan/status/1554477372950421506?s=20&t=uyBa8lWrk9dh_9tcPMBj-A The return to Baltimore is LHP Cade Povich, RHP Yennier Cano, RHP Juan Nuñez and LHP Juan Rojas.
  14. And the Cardinals added Quintana which likely had some impact on the playoff/division odds dropping as well. WS odds stayed the same.
  15. Does that only apply to those that post negative stuff?
  16. I’m at 42 enjoyable games so far this year and 33 that weren’t so enjoyable.
  17. Are you able to start the game from the beginning at anytime and fast forward? Can you pause it? I have young kids so rarely am I able to start watching a game at first pitch and usually need to pause it multiple times when I finally can sit down to watch.
  18. Do those other options allow you to watch the Brewers and Bucks live if you live in WI? If you buy the yearly package, it comes out to around $16/mo - for somebody who wants to cut the cord and keep watching the Brewers/Bucks that seems pretty reasonable to me. There are people out there who have cable just for those two and that is a whole heck of a lot more per month. Boston just released their direct to consumer streaming option thru NESN and it is $29.99/mo.
  19. Deciding to not play during a pandemic isn’t quitting on your team and I guarantee the Brewers don’t view him as quitting on them that year either.
  20. I don’t think it is Counsell’s call with players coming back from injury.
  21. You get three feet each side from your established bath path to avoid the tag. I’d say it was a bad call as I doubt it more than 3 feet from the line to the grass.
  22. Heading to the game for the first time this year - here’s to seeing a W! Well, as much of it as my kids will allow.
  23. C’mon, you’re not even being fair now. Even last year when he was pretty terrible, he had a .256 OBP.
