  1. Does ANYone think the hitting coaches have helped these hitters be more successful?
  2. I think it did make a difference. The players are professionals. They know this is a business. Still, that trade seemed to take away some of the team's identity and energy. They haven't been the same team. Like a lot of people, I was really surprised by the move, even if Hader had been having some control issues and giving up home runs. It felt like there must have been a clubhouse issue? Looking forward to seeing Gasser in the lineup someday, just for his name. I hope he's a flamethrower.
  3. I don't know. How many times did we have to hear about that toe-tapping thing with Yelich.
  4. I wanted to see Mitchell play too. His base hit, SB, and run scored won the game for us. I agree with everything you say, but my ire is directed mostly at the hitting coaches. I've listened to their interviews, and I have not been impressed. Maybe they are analytical behind the scenes, but in interviews they talk about guys "getting going" etc. Are they really helping hitters get the most out of their talents? About pitching, I agree that DW is not as sharp one the second day when he pitches two days in a row. Maybe this isn't true every time, but it happens enough that he should not have gone in tonight after heavy work last night. I've felt all the pain. It's been the most frustrating baseball season I can remember, but there have been some pretty joyous times as well. There's still a chance to get in the postseason and play the Cardinals. If that happens, with Burnes and Woodruff in a 2 out of 3 game series, there's always a chance to knock out the Cardinals. And in my book, that's a pretty good season.
  5. Yep. I'd rather be 1 game out, than 16 games out.
  6. A Phils loss, a Brewers win tomorrow, and we're tied. Deal me in.
  7. He's not been good lately. I don't understand this decision.
  8. Thanks everyone for the great information. That's a terrific story about getting the Yelich ball!
  9. Does anyone know what time I need to show up at the ballpark to see Aaron Judge's batting practice? Thanks! Mike
