  1. He doesn't have great stuff so he can't make mistakes. He makes too many in key moments.
  2. After watching the Crew's painfully anemic offense down the stretch, I'm so ready for some hitting this season.
  3. Maybe Chris Hook can spot a thing or two and develop these guys a little bit. It's been known to happen.
  4. Very impressive. I hope he makes it helps the team!
  5. Frelick was drafted in 2021. Are there serious expectations that he'll be in the bigs in 2023?
  6. He's gone in a year anyway. He hit .255 for the year, .231 in September when we really needed him. He has streaky power, and a great arm in right field. Bottom line: he's replaceable for less money. If we get lucky, maybe one of those three arms develops into needed help in the pen.
  7. I'd like to see a new hitting coach. Find us the next Kevin Long or Chris Valaika. It's a much cheaper option that risking big dough on B+ hitters. I know hitting coaches don't usually make a difference, but good ones do make a significant difference.
  8. His stuff is not that great, so when he makes a mistake, it's usually a doozy. And that happened too often.
  9. Sadly, the next closest player was Yelich with .252.
  10. What about Rosenthal? What's his contract situation?
  11. I'm guessing he's in for one inning (to reach 200) and maybe one more and then they'll call it a day.
  12. What are the chances Rowdy signs with the Brewers next year?
  13. Time for Box to come in and throw those nice straight centercut fastballs.
  14. Getting a good hitting coach. Find another Chris Valaika. Someone like that is a lot cheaper and will bring greater production than spending a ton on a free agent.
  15. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
  16. Give us some hitting coaches with PROVEN success. That's how you know you're hiring people who know what they are doing.
  17. He was an average player this season. The league average BA was around .250 and that's where he was most of the time.
  18. He's got all winter to work on it. He's got to figure it out. I once compared his before/after injury swings. It looked to me as if he was about 1 inch lower before the injury. Maybe a winter of weighted squats will get him going again.
