    I seemingly post this every year at the end of the season, I feel like that’s now. Baseball breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall all alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Questioning my love for this team at the moment. But I know I’ll be back next February. Until then, go Crew.

    And this system is only going to get better. They have had a serious infusion of talent added between the international and draft classes of the last 2 years. High upside young talent and guys on the verge. Deep as it’s ever been.

    If they do this for the sole purpose of manipulating service time it would be quite frustrating. He is one of the elite centerfielders in baseball with his glove alone.

    Such an important game as it’s essentially a two game swing and like you mentioned, can be demoralizing as the Reds seemingly cannot beat us.

    If I remember correctly, the southern league specifically is allowing pitchers to experiment with throwing substances.

    Their overall strategy of scraping the bottom of the free agent barrel and loading their triple a team with fringe players did not. Again, weird take.
