  1. IDK, I have multiple friends that use my Fox Sports login to watch Brewers/Bucks. One tries my charter stuff on everything where you need to show that you have cable and it works. The funniest part is that I actually got rid of Charter in November and the logins still work. I have internet another way now and am still able to login to the Charter app and watch everything for free. I'm going to keep riding it for free as long as I can just to spite them, even though I hate not just having normal cable. 3 months so far. My dad has Spectrum and when I try to use it, what I described happens. I can watch Hallmark Channel but it will not allow me to connect to Spectrum live without being on their network, i.e., in their house. You wouldn't be able to use the Spectrum TV app but you should be able to use 3rd party apps like Fox Sports Go, ESPN, TBS/TNT, etc. Many networks offer their own app. As long as those channels are part of the original cable package you should be able to log into those using Spectrum credentials. For context, I believe the Spectrum TV app is a way to access your cable subscription without needing to use one of their cable boxes. Say you have 4 or 5 TVs in your household, having a box for each of them would get pricey, so you could use the app instead to cut down on the box fees. It's only intended for use at a customer's home.
  2. Yep, I do a lot of free trial jumping. Make new email addresses and repeat. YouTube TV, for what it's worth, seems to also remember your previously used credit cards though. Something to keep in mind.
  3. I bought a Roku on black Friday and with it came a 40% off for 2 months of Sling promo code. I'm using it now. Strategically Feb/March is a great time for it, don't need FS Wisconsin for Bucks games because over half of their games will be nationally televised on ESPN, TBS/TNT, ABC and NBA TV over the next 2 months. Then when baseball season starts up at the end of March I can change to a service that does have FS Wisconsin.
  4. YouTube TV has a free 2 week trial going on for new subscribers right now through Feb 13 (meaning that's the last day to sign up for the trial). Excellent value if you're looking to try a streaming service out.

    Pizza

Toppers, their pizza isn't actually very good at all but their Topperstix are still the best thing about that place. Especially dipping it in their nacho cheese sauce, it's like crack.
  6. I had a 14 day free trial of HBO around the time Watchmen premiered and I saw the first 2 or 3 episodes, I really liked it and want to see the rest but I wasn't ready to pay for a subscription right then. Eventually I'll probably get another free trial and binge it. I'm really looking forward to The Witcher being released on Netflix next Friday. I don't know a whole lot about it, I know there are books and it was made into a successful video game (which I never played) but don't know a lot about the story so I'm going in mostly blind, which is great because I won't have any preconceived notions about characters and plot to cloud my judgement. I've heard good reviews about the source material and good reports about how the production of the show has transpired. Seems like it's going to be a hit.
  7. Yes, it's really good. For whatever reason I never finished the series, I started watching season 4 but only watched 3 or 4 episodes and never went back. It was good though, more my fault for letting it slip out of my consciousness. I'm pretty lazy about keeping up with tv shows sometimes and it's not the show's fault. So many good characters though, Jack Rackham is my favorite.
  8. Pretty much the exact thoughts of nearly everyone that's watched the show. I want to say there have even been times I missed Joffery. Almost missed him anyway. Ramsay is a fun villain though, at least there's that.
  9. Nice! Glad I have that to look forward to yet. On season 6 of GoT and the hits just keep coming! lol I so missed the boat on this show all these years... What episode are you on? Season 6 is my favorite. Last two episodes of that season are probably the best television I've ever watched. Episode 9 is so well done, choreographed, filmed, tense, gut wrenching, mind blowing. When it ends you think, how could any episode ever top that? And yeah, you missed out. Theories, cliffhangers, watching each new episode a couple of times to really soak everything in before the next Sunday. General talking with friends that are also watching. But you didn't miss out on waiting for long, long stretches between seasons especially towards the end.
  10. Season 4 episode 2, big episode. One of my favorite things about that episode is how much it affects everything to come, especially in the rest of season 4 but really its effects are still felt for seasons afterwards.
  11. Pretty speedy binge Ah it's such a good show.
  12. Make a commitment to get all the way through season 1 of GoT. Takes a bit to get all the families and characters straight. I watched my first episode about a month ago. It's EXACTLY how I thought it would be, and that's not a compliment. I kept watching til the middle of season 3 because I wanted more of the characters (except for the Stark kids) to die, but they never did. Soulless fantasy porn devoid of any redeeming qualities. The sheer hollowness of substance in GoT is rivaled only by outer space and the bookshelves of 20th century philosophers. I've met strains of streptococcus that have more heart than any character in that show. No heart... NO HEART? (Disclaimer: Do not click video if you don't like naughty words.)
  13. Agree on House of Cards, I only watched two or three seasons but that first season was really good.
  14. I really thought season 1 of Homeland on Showtime was amazing television. I stuck around and watched the next few seasons, which were good but decreasingly so year by year. They never matched season 1. Season 1 is worth a stand alone viewing IMO, a self-contained story that doesn't require you to keep watching subsequent seasons. Utterly gripping edge of your seat stuff. I'm also a sucker for LOST, that's a pretty polarizing show though. Some people had issues with how it ended. During its regular airing I remember being a little confused by the ending and what it meant, but I rewatched all 6 seasons a year or so ago and binge watching it really cemented it for me as one of the great shows. The twists and turns and reveals were as good as any show. I wish I could watch it again for the first time.
  15. Personality helps and it can take a while to get a following. Some people make up to a couple $100k a year. Ninja is reportedly making $500k a month. He's definitely an exception but the dude is on fire right now and has been for around a year riding the Fortnite popularity wave. Honestly, type ninja in google. He's the first thing that comes up, the guy has hijacked the word. If you want to learn about actual ninjas you have to type in more keywords to get the information you want. Crazy.
  16. Legion (FX) is a really good show. Currently in 2nd season. Every episode is like a movie. Great acting, excellent visuals and effects, a lot of care is taken in how this show is presented to its audience. It also doesn't talk down to the audience or play to the lowest common denominator, not a lot of hand-holding in its storytelling.
  17. docduany have you watched Westworld? Literally sci-fi western.
  18. Rick and Morty - lives up to the hype. Smart, crude, irreverent, hilarious. Westworld - season 1 - early episodes do a lot of world-building and set-up, so it may feel slow but the payoff in the last few episodes make it so worth it. Also, Anthony Hopkins, need I say more? - Season 2 coming in late April, can't wait! Game of Thrones - duh LOST - recently re-watched this, remembered it being really good but re-watching it was even better than I expected. I think binge watching improved the experience. It had been long enough for me to forget a lot of how things went down the first time I watched it. Great, great show. The Good Place - Few episodes in and liking it. Same dude that wrote for The Office and that was writing and in charge of Parks & Rec is running this show. The Magicians - Angsty grad-school aged millennials in the real world that can do magic. A grown up, harsher Harry Potter type show. With sex, alcohol and drugs (college kids doing college kid things) and a cable network (SYFY) that doesn't mind using uncensored F-bombs. Really. Fun show if you like that kind of thing.
