  1. Hard to tell if he just hooked it or the wind affected it but I don't really think it was the wind.
  2. Derp let's just run it where they're expecting it to go.
  3. Why do they have to piss away a couple plays to make it 3rd down?
  4. Thank god Doubs was there to recover the ball.
  5. I guess points off turnovers is a good result after all.
  6. Bears fans cheer a flinch on a hard count. Whatever floats your boats dummies.
  7. Bears defensive players just strike me as guys that wouldn't mind causing injuries on the plays they make. I didn't like the out of bounds tackle on Reed's jet sweep earlier either.
  8. Yeah I didn't like how that looked either.
  9. My recollection is none of their traded picks are protected. They get their own pick every other season but have the pick swap deal with New Orleans in those seasons which are also not protected.
  10. It makes no sense to me why the Packers would choose to be cheapskates with their coaching hires. They're really successful and profitable and it's not like an owner is taking a cut every season to line his own pockets for impulse buys. Maybe it's a philosophy choice in that they don't view coaches all that differently so choose not to overpay. I'm pretty sure that Rich Bisaccia is the highest paid ST coordinator in the league though. For all the good that's done them.
  11. Does it really matter that much if the Pirates finish last in the NL Central or last in this new division though? The real benefit goes to whatever other 3 teams end up in the Pirates division.
  12. It does make a lot of sense to do East/West rather than AL/NL. Brewers, Cardinals, Cubs, Twins sounds like a perfect division to me also, so I'm sure that will never happen.
  13. It's almost certainly not this way but I kind of imagine a bunch of former GM's sitting around a poker table and talking baseball. Like a low pressure step back but still getting to be a part of things and flex those baseball knowledge muscles.
  14. For what it's worth, and I don't think it's worth much at all, ESPN put out their power rankings yesterday. The last rankings came out Nov. 2 after the World Series ended. The Cubs dropped three spots from 6 to 9 and included the Cabrera trade. Brewers remained at 7. Power rankings are kinda dumb but I still give them a glance usually out of boredom. I guess they're interesting enough to gauge how others see things.
  15. You called it a whiff. As in, swing and a miss. If the words you are using to convey your message aren't being interpreted correctly that sounds like a "you" problem.
