Only if you over-react as bad as Charlie Manuel does. No way you throw out CC's past performances (which don't justify him as an ace, but do justify him as a solid starter) over a couple bad games.
Just another thought for the line-up issues. Since it's JJ's day off, wouldn't Hall at Shortstop, Gwynn center and Gross RF make a lot of sense? I remember a report that Hall has been taking infield groundballs from time to time.
Jenkins and Hardy are really putting on a show today. It's very encouraging to see a comeback like this when the team has been going through a very rough stretch. The most impressive thing for me is Jenkins going for the ground ball going up back through the box on the first pitch to score an RBI, then coming back and knocking the big fly this inning.
Where to begin... 1. Ned is no longer in the game. He got ejected in the 4th. 2. Going to Shouse for the lefty, and then to your 2nd best reliever for the 3rd out is the right play. 3. Turnbow having a bad day yesterday does not mean you disregard the previous month and a half of good pitching.
Not to continue the hijacking, but Fox Sports reported that Favre's agent called TT the day after the draft and asked for a trade. Of course, it's Fox. Man, this brewer game has got to be the most boring of the year.
Bad day for the Brewers. On a positive note, there's some interesting stuff on lambeauleap.net about Favre asking to be traded. It's been a nice break from watching the Brewers fly out again and again.
