  1. Hmm, I know I don’t see what CC and the stats department sees, and this may be splits-based and lineup-based, but taking Braun out seems steep.
  2. Are you saying that's good or bad? Soliciting opinions. Hader has had worse velocity, command, and looks like he tweaked something. Doesn’t look good for him going forward.
  3. Fair question. Only thing I can think of is that he wants to save his better relievers. He needs Hader to finish this inning and save a guy.
  4. Mine doesn’t, either. Seems even more fitting, if the storm were freakishly localized.
  5. Unbelievable. We’re going to find out what this team is really made of this week, I think.
  6. Hader doesn’t look terribly sharp tonight. Not a great time for him to falter. To say he will be needed is the ultimate understatement.
  7. If there is such a thing as a good 99mph fastball to hit, that was it.
  8. One big hit and the narrative changes. There’s Broxton, btw. I’m glad he’s available here.
  9. Mous has been hitting a lot of pop-ups lately. It’s been annoying, but in this situation, that is going to be much preferable to a hard-hit grounder.
  10. [sarcasm]I’m sure we all know Aguilar’s mental state better than the guy who spends 8+ hours a day with him for half the year...[/sarcasm] Well, again, he asked for the day off because he was mentally in need of a day off. Is that the best time to use him in that situation Mr. Snarkypants? Are we sure Aguilar didn’t just tell CC he’s good? We have less than 1% of the information here, that’s my whole point.

  12. Not sure you gain much on the bases with Schoop. speed? Schoop is not fast. It’s probably a marginal difference, if I recall.
  13. I gotta admit, I’m having fun right now... check with me if we give up a run or two this inning, though...
