Am I the only one who thinks Noah Eagle has a face that looks like it was made by AI? There’s something about it that seems…plastic?

I need a rule clarification: is the kicker allowed to just put the ball straight down the middle on extra points? I don’t think I’ve ever seen this strategy before, so it can’t be legal.

This is just a game where if you find a way to eeke out a win you take it and get the heck out. This is ugly, no one is ready, and neither is the field, so you feel pretty good about just banking a W. We’ve seen it over and over again, the only thing that matters about week 1 is if you win or not. Everything else will change by the end of the year.

Not sure any definitive judgments can be made about a new scheme in a season opener in the southern hemisphere, but early returns are iffy. Still think this is all on the O. Three or four touchdowns already is not an unreasonable expectation, considering the circumstances of the 1st quarter.

I don’t get why the Jacobs stuff looks horrendous. But all I can think on that run call is that we’re putting tendencies on tape that we intend to break with extreme prejudice later in the season.

Yeah, hope they don’t spend my $7 all in one place. I’ll be cancelling by about 11pm this evening. I know the whole Sunday Ticket thing has become a legal fiasco, but you have to wonder where the limit is in the way the league can continue to nickel and dime fans before curbing demand for the product. They evidently haven’t hit it yet.

Yeah, and I believe it’s still possible to get Yoho on board for the postseason if they wanted to get nuts. They can petition the league office to allow it as an injury swap, if I understand it correctly. But I don’t expect them to try it. -

This is true, but recent history being what it is, it’s going to take more than a few games pounding on weak bullpens and position-players pitching to convince people around here that this is a fundamentally better offense than the one that flamed out of the last few postseason appearances.
