  1. That hit by Jones is the old “you haven’t been in the NFL long enough to get that call.”
  2. Not breaking new ground by saying this, but Newman is a huge problem. Can’t get him out of there fast enough.
  3. I’m not sure even three defensive turnovers would do it at this point.
  4. They’re also routinely bringing more than we can block bc they know Love cannot diagnose a defense (at least not yet).
  5. It’s going to have to be Cobb at some point. They can’t keep doing this
  6. If you want to say ST is 1A on the list of culprits, I wouldn’t argue with you. But Love is a very close 1B [sarcasm]Then again, Amari Rodgers says “hold my beer”[/sarcasm]
  7. I mean, I’m looking at this from the perspective of a very disappointed pack fan, but KC has to be getting nervous about Mahomes, right? I mean, it won’t likely matter in this game, but he looks putrid. His reads are terrible. He could easily have two picks, at least.
  8. Man, Mahomes is really in a funk, huh?
  9. Reporter: “Is Love ready?” MLF: “We’ll find out” Yeah, I think we’re finding out.
  10. Dude, Love, my guy. Just no. Thanks Cobb
  11. Can’t ask for any more from this defense in that half. And to do it without Stokes, Alexander, or Z is incredible. Too bad the other two phases have completely barfed on themselves.
  12. Missed two gotta have it field goals, and about to set up Mahomes in the red zone. So by my reckoning that’s going to be -13 for special teams. Can’t have that on the road with Love at QB. Inexcusable.
  13. Good grief special teams
  14. I know nothing about the Chiefs defensive strategy this year apart from the fact that it’s bad. That being said, I suspect the Chiefs are doing things against Love that they do not ordinarily do. This makes me think halftime adjustments should help Love a little. Emphasis on a little, though. He’s been thoroughly underwhelming so far.
  15. Ooof. Really don’t need one of these games from ST.
  16. Love either has no confidence in himself or MLF has no confidence in him. This is getting silly
  17. Defense, getting it done
  18. Have to start trusting Love to get the ball downfield at some point. Offense is looking pretty limited.
  19. History repeats itself, first as tragedy (Braun), then as farce (Rodgers). Rodgers’ anger at Braun’s situation (which was still a more serious moral error in my book) adds a layer of absurdity to the entire hilarious episode. In the end, it serves as another entry in the file of why no one should go looking for role models among the rich and athletically gifted. If there was any doubt about 12’s unsuitability in this regard, it is now thoroughly dispelled.
  20. For someone so apparently concerned for his privacy, he certainly has a knack for generating an awful lot of attention, content, and hate clicks for the NFL and sports media generally. Not all of that is his doing, of course, but it seems silly to think he doesn’t enjoy it on some level. But today, it is definitely one heck of a double-edged sword. That said, he is a real person with a very real (and potentially serious) illness. I’m trying to keep that at the forefront of my mind as I think about this. Obviously then, my hopes are ranked in this order of sequence and importance: 1) Speedy recovery for Rodgers with no complications 2) Continued health of everyone around him 3) Love plays and kills it on Sunday 4) Rodgers returns and leads team to Super Bowl title 5) Team flips Rodgers for fair haul (not sure even a 1st round value will be had, but we’ll see who is desperate this off-season, hopefully) It is time to quit the ride. The games being played by both sides now are becoming stupid, and the prizes being won are quickly catching up.
  21. Knowing what we know about Rodgers (travel habits, social circle, political leanings, etc) it is hard for me to imagine he’s not vaccinated. Then I remember he’s always just been an out there dude (aliens, transcendental meditation, etc) and who knows anymore. Honestly that’s not even the point for me. I don’t care about the issue from a political perspective, and I’m hoping he wasn’t lying or misleading people this whole time (same for the team, to be clear). But my thing is, once you start hurting the team, it’s time to go. If this is what it looks like, it’s hard for me to want him back after this season, come what may.
  22. This was richly deserved. We were better in every phase. Give MLF coach of the year already. What a job.
  23. This defense is not terrible!
  24. Feels like a bit of a hose job on these no-calls, plus the sketchy overturning of the TD. Pretty bs
  25. Not holding on Preston, eh? Nice, nice
