The guy made up some stat that his hitting 260 with the big dipper in the northern sky on Tuesdays. Who cares!! He is up twice a night with the bases loaded and can barely put the ball in play. Wrc+ is 43. Average is 100. It's hard to overstate how bad he's has been. To say he has to play because there is no other option is embarrassing.

He has batted 34 times with the bases loaded alone and come up with 5 hits. He has an assortment of pop ups and strikeouts. Now it seems you want to argue that Joey is a great offensive player for some reason. In actually he is one of the worst in mlb. I didn’t think it was debatable but nothing appears to be here.

All i am saying he has a bunch of hits in games that are decided. He may be hitting 265 or whatever all i know is he ain't exactly Derek Jeter in the clutch.

Early this season Murphy benched Ortiz. He didn't like his approach. Now no matter what he plays. It almost feels like someone said hey you gotta play him and now Murphy is sticking with him no matter what. What changed? Weird situation.

Ashby has been incredible this season given we had no reason to expect much. You gotta hope he makes it through this season with his usage.
