There is no proof that Murphy is a quality big league manager. Last year was a bit of a honeymoon but all in all he did his job but Same results come playoffs. This season he was dealt a rough hand by the front office but he only has cost them 4-5 wins with brutal decision making. In sum Murphy hasn't been good and completely out of depth with pitching staff. Imo find a young manager a young team can grow with. A 67 year old guy is not ideal.

I saw that after the game Murphy finally passed the buck to ownership by saying we didn't spend any money what do you expect? Now besides being a fact I like him at least calling a spade a spade. Now the fact his kids were sitting there is a whole other thing.
