  1. wow, luke had the same idea as me. I hadn't noticed until i refreshed my pc I think that might be a good way to use hader once in awhile
  2. hows this for a dumb idea.. In a pinch in a game we really really need, what about starting hader and have him go 3 innings at most or on a tight pinch count Sort of what the rays are doing
  3. perez hits RHP .at a .284 clip and is hitting everybody at .327 for the month of may. I love that villar has improved this year but perez is no slouch in this instance For whatever reason CC has made mysterious decisions all year but this doesnt seem like a horrible idea
  4. i was there. There were probably 5000 cardinals fans there. In a sold out crowd of 43,000 that fact didnt bother me at all Cardinal fans are known for showing up on the road but it wasnt like when packer fans have 25,000 to 30,000 against the buccaneers or arizona cardinals. The only time i noticed was when they hit a 2 run homer
  5. I was at the game today.. Brutally hot...unbearable I was in section 109. I sat there for 5 innings, seeing only half of the game due to to an endless supply of people going up and down the aisles. Then i went over to TGIF's for chicken tenders, loaded potatoe skins and a pepsi for $30. wow it was a great game but i am exhausted...lol
  6. Shaw and santana on the bench per haudricort brauny 3rd and aguilar 4th and saladino playing for villar How many teams would like a bench of villar, shaw and santana
  7. More tweet by adam mccalvey I don’t know what the Brewers lineup will look like tonight, but with Ryan Braun coming off the DL and Jesus Aguilar leading the offense lately, I’m very much looking forward to the Twitter freakout if there is a number three in front of or behind Braun’s name. Mccalvey really knows the pulse of this boards reaction....lol
  8. i agree. Braun should be on the bench if he hits like his last stretch It's a great problem to have bc when someone is slumping, plug in the other guy the obvious one is arcia, he should be on the bench 2-3 days a week until he hits better and he is the perfect defensive replacement late in the game
  9. i would like to see aguilar at 3rd at least once a week against LHP Our good "problem" is when thames comes back we always will have 2 good starters on the bench santana and thames/aguilar
  10. Offline liveforoctober Re: 2018-05-23: Diamondbacks (Godley) at Brewers (Suter) 12:40 PM CDT Report this post #97 Posted: May 23, 2018, 12:44 PM Unread post User avatar Posts: 1329 Serious question. Jesus Aguilar is still doubted by many to be real. When is it enough to just call him an improved player who can now really hit major league pitching vs someone who is just having a great 365 days? I'm really asking.. when does the doubt leave? i have liked him since last spring...even luke is caving and said he is a good hitter there are very few that arent on his bandwagon now i want braun to start hitting too but not take too many ABs from aggie
  11. i would say we have figured out the offensive woes for now... i would assume we have averaged 5 runs a game in the last 21 games and the pitching keeps getting better and better
  12. that 3 run homer by santana that was caught...wow i thought it was just another pop up when he hit it
  13. like brad pitt says in moneyball to the team when they are losing you may not look like a winning team, or feel like a winning team, but you are that, in a nutshell is our starting pitchers they just get it done
  14. pina hits like a pineapple this year but lord can that guy eight ball it to second base or what another great win..that chump ump almost cost us the game the last one was literally a perfect pitch and he still called it a ball rock went nuts and so did CC and knebel
  15. the brewers could win 80 games 85 games or 90 some games most of the games will be close games that come down to a certain hit here or a strike there we are a winning team that wins tight games and has a great bullpen the only thing i am pretty sure about is we wont be a [crappy] team that wins 65-70 games i am just curious what people think based on the track record, which is ten games over .500 if we duplicate that over the next 114 games
  16. aguilar needed a day off to rest from all the baserunning he did last week he will be the pinch-hitter in the 7th
  17. i think they will. they are 10 games over already even with multiple injuries make that SIXTEEN games over against the whole schedule other than the cubs we have very good hitting everywhere but catcher and SS. The bullpen is lights out and the starters are pretty good i fully expect us to trade for a starting pitcher and/or catcher by the trading deadline i think i predicted 88 wins so i think 90 is doable
  18. but oakland is playing for the 2nd wildcard. they will never catch the astros and they are 4th in their own division. and the top wildcard will be either the yankees or red sox. not that it matters, neither party seemed interested in lucroy playing here anyway
  19. lucroy "seems" like a perfect fit but stearns gave it a hard no when he was still a free agent in march. there must be some sort of animosity by lucroy or stearns bc it looked like a good deal for us. he is hitting .281 and has an OBP of .348. they almost certainly wouldnt ask much for him and losing vogt makes for a serious need at catcher
  20. arcia can take a grounder in the outfield grass and throw out the guy at first without looking. i dont know if i have seen a guy do that since ozzie smith.. he is amazing on defense, but yes he bats like a high school kid sometimes
  21. cains HR hit two rows beneath the top of the section.. nicely done sir
