I will say, that the Brewers and Giants consistently might be the closest group of games vs any team the last couple years that I can remember. Neither team is truly out, and usually within a run/ last at bat win.

Not sure how that was deceptive... but... 2022 Brewers. lol. Would hate to lose a close game on a marginal judgement call like that.... woof. How is CC not at the very least, questioning that call? Better yet, getting tossed.....

I get the theory behind it. But that doesn't explain 3 catchers. (When we have 2 that are combining to do terrific this year). A struggling offense and a guy who has been working the count (I never thought I would say this about Keston) and driving the ball - gets the shuttle to Nashville. I understand Davis being the only "true CF" at this point... but the catcher thing, and the extra pitcher during a stretch of several off days/nearing ASB - confuses me more than anything. Couple all that with the fact that CC until maybe the last 7 days kept misplaying Keston vs L when he should be in vs R'HP's. I dont know that any of our armchair ideas would bear more fruit, but - imagine of CC played Keston correctly.... makes me wonder if he wouldn't be almost back to where he once was. I respect a guy who put in work to get back - and it's clear he has done that. Only to be misused. It's frustrating. We shouldn't be this frustrated with a 1st place club - but... we are. lol. -
It makes "sense" but yea... I agree. VC and Omar have been fantastic - no reason to think Severino is a better option in any way than either of them. And we sure don't need 3 catchers. But what do we know. lol.

We need to get an actual ML outfielder - preferably one who can hit - in here ASAP. Hopefully DS is working that phone line trying to bring some reinforcements in… could use an arm or two as well but that’s every contender. The sky isn’t falling it’s just not up there quite as high anymore….

This is 100% what I wondered. I think it may have a lot to do with his early struggles. And since it’s now treated - he’s only going to get better. He may have simply not had a good feel for his stuff and didn’t know why. Now the why is corrected and look at the results! Love it.

Huira has had some fantastic at bats tonight. Even that last one - the last pitch was a ball - but you know - umps lol. None the less nice to see him not chasing 3 bad pitches and sitting down.

Few notes- awesome win! love Caratini’s fire Huira hits vs R and doesn’t vs L… (cough cough CC you paying attention yet) Hader throwing 40 pitches 24 hours ago and coming in didn’t look great was a shock to nobody here love to beat the Cubs is the bottom line! Happy 4th everyone!

Curious if it’s legal for Beeks foot to not really even be on the rubber on those pitches. Not sure I’ve ever seen a lefty literally off the right side of the rubber. What’s the rule on that?

I assume Ashby is back next turn? Otherwise I haven’t a clue what this was tonight - and why?? A guy used to starting first time from the pen is likely not going to go well …

Good at bats by Taylor and Davis, - especially Davis - just rough ‘strike’ calls…. Whoever said Davis is an upgrade to Cain - I can agree. His approach is decent. Not saying he’s a star or has potential, but, he’s a pleasant player thus far.
