    With Yo in the pen I think that it is time to put Carlos in the rotation. I also think that it may be time to option Rickie to the minors. He needs a chance to find himself.

    I think Coco's arm is dead, just like Turnbow's was last year. I don't think it is permanent.

    I agree that this is rock bottom. I really feel that this is the wake-up call that gets us to play better baseball, with improved results.

    Batters are taking more pitches against Turnbow now. He struggles under those conditions. Claudio is wearing out our bullpen. Who is left to relieve in today's game. Suppan has to eat up innings again today. He has been worth the $ so far.

    I wanted to stay with Carlos. He had some room to play with. He generally doesn't walk guys in bunches. I thought he could get through the bottom of the order. If we survive tonight than our bullpen is a mess for tomorrow.

    This is an important series because every one says that the Cubs are down. I know that a series victory by the Cubs could solve a lot of their problems. They would feel pretty good about themselves and maybe they would begin a winning streak.

    I think that Bill Schroeder would intentionally walk 2 or 3 guys every time through the order. Was that Jaime Coconower's problem?

    It is easy to post this after-the-fact. Miller was struggling. I felt at the time that it was a good decision to keep him out there. If they would have brought in a different right-handed reliever then I would have pinch-hit. Miller just didn't have good command.

    Does anybody else think that Hall's problems are similar to Jenkins' last year. It seems to me that Hall can't get his front foot down quick enough, or in order to get his foot down quickly he doesn't close up as much. He will work through this.

    I still don't have a lot of confidence in Vargas because he kept falling behind in the count. Tonight he walked the tightrope and survived. I am not sure why. Other nights he won't survive.
