  1. Yikes. Forget this one, win tomorrow , bring on the 1st place cubs, we seem to play better against teams that have a winning record.
  2. If I would make trade, would deal Thames .get what u can, bring up Shaw to play 1st
  3. Excellent post, u said everything that I would say but better. I had posted on another thread about it being such a quick turnaround. We never got a chance ( not complaining ) to restock out our farm system, so now when we could use some help on the major league club, probably not enough talent to do it unless we empty the farm. . I say stand pat, listen to some offers or make a couple minor deals to help without killing our farm system.
  4. Does this injury have anything to do with swinging a bat ? I always have been a supporter of th NL rules, but t I'm getting tired of losing pitchers swinging a bat or hurting themselves on the base path.
  5. Aren't they always in a rebuild ? More to my point or ? Was couldn't we have made similar offer . Not sure what equivalent prospects could have got the deal done.
  6. Not sure what would been equal in our farm system, but isn't this the type player we could use. Quite sure Baltimore would rather trade to the NL than within its own division.
  7. Can't wait for a automated strike zone. They don't give a albers a close pitch on 3-2 count . Who knows how that could change the way he pitches to the next batter. Lol. And Cain get called out on a close pitch, it was a ball according to foxtrac or whatever it is. Don't know if it would matter but umpiring sucks.
  8. A healthy Cain A 1st half of last year Aguilar Burnes pitching to his hype Chacin pitching better or any other starter other than Woodruff.
  9. This is truly disgusting, players want more money, really, haven't gone to game in 5 years because I just can't a afford to take a family of four. I know it's not that simple but hard cap and a hard minimum. International player that want to come over are put in a draft, not just for the rich teams anymore. Have tiers of free agency, the most expensive you lose your 1st round pick so on and so forth. Or if your team is in lower market your team gets draft compensation. Hated it when we lost Sabathia and did not receive any comp because the Yankees signed another mover expensive player (name escapes me ).
  10. Very good adambr2. Made me chuckle. We need a +1 on this forum. Just reading all the posts on this subject can make guys head swim. It seems to me that a few years back we were supposed to be an a big rebuild, but there were some really good moves made and our rebuild was cut short and we didn't really restock our system with high end picks( not complaining ) now we have some holes in this year's lineup with not alot in the cupboard that will net a player or two to put us over the top. I keep thinking that trading Hader is a good idea to help restock our system in one big way. Then I think of Brinson. Help. I can't decide.
  11. How is it that the pirates don't score many runs, each guy seems to be such tough outs.
