  1. Still over 2 hours until game time. Any mention of the lineups yet? It seems like there's a change every day now... not that i'm complaining. I also could see that Ohka may never pitch for the brewers again, but we'll see. Sounds like him and Cappy were good friends.
  2. It appears that they will be waiting 2 weeks and see how Ohka is feeling then. If he's not doing better, surgery is a possibility. That's what I got out of an article I read during the time he got injured.
  3. I felt this would be appropriate, since it should be Ohka's day to pitch http://www.milkcartonmafia.com/Fightingokra1.jpg Get well soon Ohka
  4. I posted this in last nights game thread, but during the Atlanta Braves game today on the ticker at the bottom of a screen, it was reporting Fernandez is the starting pitcher. On the MilwaukeeBrewers.com site there was an article that made it sound like Hendrickson is pitching. I guess we'll find out when the lineups are released.
  5. Didn't feel like making the in game thread, but noticed when watching the Atlanta game a second ago that it said Fernandez is starting for the brewers....
  6. That hurts. Only the first inning though. Please don't let it be a sign of what's to coming.
  7. Starts at 10:40 for us easterners. I'll be up for the whole game... as long as I can finish writing 10 pages for an essay beforehand. Lets go Cappy, keep it strong.
  8. No idea. I know he got banged up from running into the wall, but then a few games after that incident he pinch hit once. Edit: Just wanted to thank you Mass for all you've put into the Minor Leagues. I don't believe I've thanked you before. I wouldn't have a clue about any of our minor leaguers without you.
  9. Well, good pitching... too bad the brewers couldn't get a few free bases from BB's. It seems as if they had trouble with that yesterday also.
  10. You want to know what would make the Ohka news more calming? If Clark could find himself again in the leadoff role. Yes, we lose a pitcher, but on the other hand, we get back something we've been needing. Weeks had been doing fine in leadoff, but Clark almost seems better fit with Weeks ability to hit for more power. Maybe we will also find a new fit for the 5th spot in the rotation also, like Eveland or Hendrickson holding his own.
  11. Yes, I noticed the bat a couple of games ago. I think he switched after starting bad with the red bat towards the beginning.
  12. Wow, 4.1 innings by Rogers, no runs. So far so good. Hopefully I dont jinx him, but if so, I'm sorry. Anyways, Hopefully he can continue to improve. 8 SO, 1 BB and 2 hits so far.
  13. Doesn't appear to be on TBS tonight as far as I can see. Go get em Cappy. Hopefully we can see a solid ball game tonight... haven't really seen a tight game in quite a while.
  14. Did Ben cut his hair finally? With MLB extra innings I don't get any pregame so i have to wait a bit.
  15. Honestly, I was not in favor of moving Fielder in the #5 about a week ago, even though he was hot then too, but now I feel it is time. The offense has been going lately and Fielder's hits seem to be gradually getting more convincing. Can't wait to see how this game pans out.
  16. Hopefully ben doesn't get careless when Arroyo comes up to bat tonight.
  17. I'm tired of this small strike zone tonight. The ump is basically making the pitchers throw down the middle. There is no outside plate.
  18. Sarcasm/Jinx was intended in that post. Anyways, Get er done Brewers. Please no 9-2 for the bad guys tonight in the 3 inning.
  19. Couldn't agree with you more davemakovec. The game wasn't on tv for me yesterday, which was a good thing for the first 4 innings or so, but it would have been fun to watch a little offensive performance by the brewers. As many have pointed out, it's still very early in the season and all the Brewers need is a little spark. This team has the talent, they just need to put it all together at the same time. Also, at least the game didn't end in a 15-1 fashion such as the Indians game. That could have been bad.
  20. According to JSonline: B. Clark, CF B. Hall, SS G. Jenkins, RF C. Lee, LF C. Koskie, 3B R. Weeks, 2B P. Fielder, 1B D. Miller, C D. Davis, P C. Biggio, 2B W. Taveras, CF L. Berkman, 1B M. Ensberg, 3B P. Wilson, LF J. Lane, RF B. Ausmus, C A. Everett, SS R. Oswalt, P This game isn't being broadcasted on Extra Innings so I'll be stuck with the radio/gameday, although the radio isn't bad.
  21. The thing that might help take the nasty taste out of my mouth from last nights game is a solid performance by the Brewers tonight. The great thing about this sport is normally one game doesn't kill a team. The brewers woke up this morning and have a shot at victory tonight and to redeem themselves. If not tonight, then tomorrow. So far the Brewers have been able to keep up with both the Mets and the Astros in limited matchups, so it should be a good series.
  22. How many times does darron and bill show the pole that Sexson hit in the outfield? Last outing for Bush I noticed he was having trouble as soon as a runner or two got on base. Hopefully if he walks someone or gives up a base hit he doesn't try to do too much.
  23. 1. Brady Clark-CF 2. JJ Hardy-SS 3. Prince Fielder-1B 4. Carlos Lee-LF 5. Geoff Jenkins-RF 6. Rickie Weeks-2B 7.Corey Koskie/Bill Hall-3B 8. Damian Miller-C 9. Pitcher I do like that lineup a lot myself, however I still think it may be too early to move prince to 3. It seems a lot of his hits have been lucky, and not the power we have all heard he is capable of producing. On the other hand, maybe a change in the lineup would be a good thing. The players are hitting, but just not when it counts and maybe this tweaking would somehow turn in some runs. Either way I would love to see some runs produced tonight.
  24. Does Dave Bush remind anyone else of the monopoly guy? http://writing.fsu.edu/cwc/sp02/cel41451/getout_rup2.gif
