  1. He's like Mark Mulder or Cory Lidle on the A's right now when Zito and Hudson got most of the press. But man they both have been amazing.
  2. Yep it would be nice to have a large group of starters healthy for that 18 game stretch next month before the all star break. There's another long one in there at the end of the season too I think. Pretty brutal schedule. Really could use Woody and Priester for those.
  3. Sal is so short most pitches are high in the zone on him. Great W, man Bauers again. Like to see the insurance runs late too.
  4. Was at the game last night that Hamilton catch was pretty amazing. Looked like there was NO chance anyone would get that ball and he got there without diving. Truly great speed.
  5. Great steal of a win. These guys never give up. Love to see it.
  6. We have 2-3 grueling stretches of baseball later in the season this year, for the first time in a few seasons I believe. This year most of our off days were front loaded. I have a feeling those 2 x 18 games in a row stretches coming up later in the season might make our younger players tire out a bit, or some September they might fade with increased workload compared to in years past. But the Brewers have been smart with dealing with these issues in the past or calling up other players to help and they do a good job so I have faith and trust the front office.
  7. Knowing the history of both these teams, something is coming. Either today or a later series something is coming.
  8. Here's to hoping Jomboy does a deep dive. He usually finds this kinda stuff. If more happens today I bet he will do one.
  9. Clearly a case of the scouting report on him getting out to all the teams and knowing how to attack him better. The question will be can he adjust as well? Keston couldn't for us, we shall see if PCA can for them.
  10. Playing really good ball against the tough teams so far, I like it.
  11. I think we forget sometimes how young he was when he was called up. Braun was probably still 1-2 years older than Jackson when he debut as a Rookie coming from college. He is still very young.
  12. Sounds like it wasn't the groin on the TV broadcast. Said after playing his back was sore, and the coaching and medical staff didn't want to risk it and sat him to avoid a larger issue. Still not promising. You think a month of rehab and rest on that groin would make his back feel better as well.
  13. Surprised to see the Pads out to a hot start. Didn't they sign a lot of their guys from their "core" a few years ago to all big contracts, and trade away a lot of their minor league talent to "win now" and it backfired on them? Or is it a lot of guys from that older core healthy to start a season plus some new guys as well.
  14. No, you don't extend him. Don't we have Miz and a lot of these other guys people want to extend under team control through like 2030? We keep doing smart Brewer things and keep these guys for 5-6 years, then deal them and reload on prospects near the end and stay competitive. It's worked since 2017 keep doing it. This guy throws so hard, which is awesome. Man is he fun to watch. But you're telling me between now and his team control ending Miz won't have any kind of arm issues? That's almost impossible.
  15. Keep him away from any phone books and Steve Sparks.
  16. I wonder how common that is with GMs stuff like this happens. Love hearing this kinda stuff.
  17. Just want to see Mitchell healthy for a full season or two here and see how he does. Like others have mentioned he has missed major time every season so far. Will be curious if he can adjust once teams find the holes in his swings like what happened to Keston and Keon. But being healthy is the biggest thing.
  18. Could throw big game Billy Hall in there as well. Robin.
  19. I am. Let's see what this team can do when healthy, and we call up some of the younger guys to help others struggling.
  20. Never been there but give us a report! I always love going to other ballparks and seeing the Brewers. Marlins always play us tough and are sneaky good this year.
  21. Nice start from Sproat. Getting 5-6 innings from our starters more would help the pen out.
  22. Wow Jones and Matos. Can't be worse than what we have been doing I guess. Trying to stay positive. It's early.
