  1. Santana with the big front foot lift fits right in with this bunch. Thats twice he's been late getting it on the ground and we're only in the second inning
  2. I'm just going to use the word Skynet from now on.
  3. Davis with a fine example of how not to play right field.
  4. I didn't realize his numbers were that bad. Not sure what the point was in trading for him.
  5. Initial returns on Santana are not good.
  6. Do not need to serve up a crooked number before there's an out.
  7. Lead off walk. Great way to start the night
  8. He was basically a mid-level utility guy and now that the NL has the DH the demand for utility guys has all but disappeared. Will be interesting to see if a different franchise can fix his mechanical issues at the plate.
  9. I'm glad they didn't do anything more than they did. You're not going to be able to turn over half your roster at the break and still go on winning and that's what it would have taken to get to a World series. Too many issues to address in too Short a time frame.
  10. I am going to be curious to see what if any changes are made to his mechanics.
  11. While it doesn't necessarily mean everything it would be interesting to see a list over the last 10 years of how many players from different franchises have been drafted with a team and made All-Star appearances as hitters with that team. On edit.....looks like Lucroy(2014, 2016) was the last Brewer hitter drafted to appear in an all star game. I'm not counting Lo Cain.
  12. I'll have to do a little digging on that. The braves come to mind as being pretty good at putting decent Big League hitters on rosters. I would also say the Diamondbacks are not too bad at it.
  13. That question could be asked of pretty much everyone not named Frelich coming out the minors.
  14. I just cringe watching him hit. Excellent hand-eye coordination and complete train wreck mechanically. No way he should have been allowed to get through the minors without correction. I dont care what numbers he puts up down there because he can never reach his potential without change and now your going to waste his big league years trying to fix what should have been forced on him early.
  15. When/if they get to the bigs and produce and don't have a whole host of mechanical issues that are quickly exposed I will eat my words. Till then...this organization sucks at drafting and developing hitting and has for at least the last decade.
  16. I see him as the personification of this franchises "slow pitch" approach to hitting.
  17. I am pretty up in the air about him. For most of Stearns tenure the Brewers have been average to poor offensively so I'm not sure one year is enough to fix that. But.....unless significant changes are made to how they draft and develop hitters his stay will be short.
  18. Until the organization gets their crap together at the top I'm not sure I want them buying or selling. If they trade away Burnes and get crap in return because they cant judge or develop hitting then whats the point. But then again if they hang onto him and get nothing that's bad as well. It's kind of a no win scenario right now with offensive ineptitude at the helm of the franchise.
