    While I'm happy they didn't get embarrassed i don't feel much if any better about their chances of scoring runs in playoff games and teams like the braves are going to score some from against pretty much anyone we trot out there.

    I'm a big mechanics guy and did quite a bit of hitting coaching at the youth and high school levels and sometimes Major League guys get away with less than ideal mechanics because of superior hand eye coordination but most of the really elite hitters have solid footwork and don't have a thousand things moving at time of launch.

    Of all the young guys I've seen come up lately at first glance Frelich has the best mechanics and it's not close.

    He's got company. Miller's hitting .208 for the last 30 games Taylor's not hitting at all. Even though he's been hurt.

    It's so much more fun to hit a baseball when you're moving and the baseball's moving. And the more things you can have moving before the swing the better. Keeping your head still and having a quiet approach it's so boring who wants that.

    There can't be a worse regular three and four hitter combination than Addames and Winker. It's not possible.
