    Like their coach the Lions are a tough physical bunch. Largly the reason they swept pack last year. The Packers like their coach last year were Charmin soft.

    Lions have the best coach in the division. I think they win the North with ease.

    Rolled the dice and purchased a couple of UW mens hockey Sat night season tickets. Hopefully Hastings can resurrect this once great program.

    I understand Big League hitters are a different situation but when I work with high school hitters My philosophy was..." The Further you start from the proper lanch point the more likely you are to never get there" And I absolutely hate too much front foot travel because if you miss time your foot movement by even the slightest amount you have no way to get your foot back on the ground and trigger on an inside pitch. Pitchers with variable delivery times and good change of pace can make life really miserable for high front leg lifts.

    I can't think of a single top flight MLB hitter with all of the pre-swing movement that he has. Way too much.

    Interesting that his bad mechanics in the minors got even worse with the big league club.

    Heath and Reed's hands are really impressive. Both of them can get balls in contested space.

    I think they probably learned more about where they're at last night versus the Cincinnati game. Much closer test for the offense to the actual regular season game.

    Outside of the kicking situation safety is by far the weakest position in the squad. They need to be looking to trade for a vet.

    I like it. That's probably why it won't happen.

    To me it looks like Turang has changed his stance and his footwork. Front foot staying straight to the pitcher with a slide instead of a lift. Seems to be quieter in the box and a much smoother looking swing.

    He was basically a mid-level utility guy and now that the NL has the DH the demand for utility guys has all but disappeared. Will be interesting to see if a different franchise can fix his mechanical issues at the plate.

    I'm glad they didn't do anything more than they did. You're not going to be able to turn over half your roster at the break and still go on winning and that's what it would have taken to get to a World series. Too many issues to address in too Short a time frame.
